The release of the controversial documentary Leaving Neverland has sparked a worldwide conversation about child sexual abuse. But does more need to be done to improve our understanding of this sensitive and complex subject? Psychologist Emma Kenny thinks so - arguing that widespread misconceptions about sexual abuse could discourage other victims from speaking out. And someone who knows first-hand the difficulty of coming forward is Rebekah Vardy - who herself was sexually abused at the age of 12. She joins us alongside Emma Kenny, to tell her story.

Mmm..........this is a really important subject, but Schofield and Vardy ? Really?
A very brave woman alongside a very good professional therapist and facing two good hosts and the entire world. The skeptical and disbelievers open doors and invite the paedophiles to carry on. Such people therefore are also child sexual abusers. I am with you all of the way Rebekah. It happens to males too !

I believe this woman because it happened to me as well.
The skeptic in me thinks that if it did happen is she the best advocate to advise or help folks who've experienced abuse to come forward? Given she was proven a liar in court is her coming forward publicly going to help others in a similar situation? Or eill it hinder them. You'd hope she's telling the truth about what happened and her intentions to help others are legitimate, the alternative is absolutely reprehensible. If shes telling the truth thats awful and noone should have to go through that.
