I noticed! from what I read I expected it was gonna have been scary but when I watched it I was sooo excited!! I was like she stuck it, she really stuck it!!! GOOO BECCA!!!!!

yeah, poor Atler. I watched her as a junior, and seeing her fall apart at trials was heartbreaking to see.

I agree with you. However much I'd love to see any of them on the team, it's looking less and less likely with every competition. There's just too many amazing girls on our team right now that the veterans won't have enough to offer (similarly with Bross coming off her injury and with her history of inconsistency).

She can fix the little wobbles in her saltos. Did NO ONE notice that she STUCK her PATTERSON?! Although it was a low/cowboyed/legs were apart during landing, she didn't fall and stuck it. THAT'S ENOUGH EVIDENCE FOR ME THAT BECCA IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!

I think her dismount is better now than when she wasn't injured. She gets a much cleaner take off and doesn't cut around the side as much

I don't see why everybody is jumping to conclusions? Such as "Rebecca is going to struggle to make that Olympic team", if you compare this performance to WOGA Classic you can see she has tremendously improved and she has a few more months to put things right again. I wouldn't start jumping to conclusions until Visa's and Olympic Trials I think now is too soon to start making decisions.

Agreed. Finally someone realistic. It's hard to say but it's the truth. We all know what a hard worker she is and want to see her rewarded for that but she hasn't done herself any favors lately with these poor performances.

I think the Olympic Trials will be a moment of truth for a lot of girls. Not only for Bross, but for the last Olympic ones as well. They'll have to prove they're injury free (and there have been some injuries), and can compete the hard skills everyone's doing nowadays. Can Johnson still do her Amanar? How about Liukin's bars? I haven't seen her compete since '08 so I have no clue how in shape she is. It's really fusterating not to have seen Nastia at all. Can't wait for Visa's and the Trials!!

Yes Johnson can do an Amanr she did it at the 08 games. She said in a interview for 2011 worlds that she will be throwing it at the Olympic Trials. As far as Liukin is concerned, she has a new beam and bars routine so I'm interested to see what she brings. If Liukin nails uneven bars and can have a clean beam she made the London team. She is the regining Olympic AA champion. The Comittee nor Marta can ignore that fact no matter who else there is. the only for sure person is Wieber.

Unfortunately you're completely right, after that accident she'll never been the same gymnast, and she has to do a huge training to have a chance to make olimpic team. I'm really sorry, she's been unlucky and I wish all the best for her but I think it'll be a very hard challenge. We'll see!

@boytoyville Rebecca wasn't the same in 2011, because she broke a bone in her foot at 2010 worlds. She competed hurt & still won the AA bronze. Nationals was her first big meet back from injury. I don't think she was quite ready, to compete all her difficulty. Than she unfortunately injured her knee. She's had the worst luck. Going straight from one injury to a worse one:(

She made it the second day of visas (but overrotated, deep landing, probably 0.8 in deductions) but she did a really nice stood up one on the second day of trials.

I was hoping to see a video of her doing floor or vault too. I'm curious where she stands with that.

This is the only instance I've seen of her landing the Patterson dismount this year, she fell every single time she tried in every other broadcast competition, including the olympic trials

I see what you are saying. Aly's and Rebecca's scores on beam were lower than Kyla's. They are more power gymnasts than Kyla is I think. Kyla has more of an artistic, ballet-like feel to her routines.

You're right you can't compare the two at the moment but pointing out Jordyn's beam routine well when has Jordyn ever blown an entire meet like Becca at the 2011 visa's? Becca was hurt and recovering and I'm so proud that she got up and kept going but even before she got injured nothing was going right day one or day two. I'm just saying they are both amazing

also in Becca's defense I want to remind everyone that when she got hurt at nationals Marta stated that it was very sad because she is "a key member to the team". She isnt going to just forget who Becca was in 2010 and what she's capable of.

Uh no? Nastia won American Cup in 2008, she was looking healthy. Nastia was techniquely full strength at the 2007 Nationals. Rebecca is full strength here... That's a year difference.

I think that E scores on beam were just unusually harsh at this competition. Even Ohashi got an 8.7

she moves like a romanian! Impressive!!! (Don't think I'm saying one country is better than the other, but the agressiveness of the romanians on beam is a thumbs up)

It is a shame what happened to her... her knee still seems unstable. I really hope that she is ready for 2012!

I think they really cracked down on her bent knees and maybe even lack of artistry. She had a few big wobbles, flexed feet sometimes, and that dismount (even though it was stuck) was somewhat scary and ugly. This is not insulting Bross, she's a gem at times, just explaining where the judges must've taken deductions.

She wasn't even the same gymnast in 2011 before her injury. Before her fall at Visas she had fallen 3 times on beam and once on bars. The fall on vault was her fifth. She has really declined. Kind of reminds me of the Atler years sorry to say and I do like Becca.

When has Rebecca won the world championships and the american 3 times? I'm just saying both are amazing and both can compete with one another. To say one can't compete with the other is ridiculous

Hmmz I think if the judges want to be harsh they can deduct more than 2.0. Two major wobbles (both .5), couple of low landings (arabian, back tuck, double arabian) and the huge cowboy of her legs in the double arabian. It's harsh, but they can take them. And she has such musceled legs that her legs look like they're bent all the time. Maybe they took something there as well on her leaps.

Im just saying that Jordyn has never beaten Rebecca Healty,as a junior at 2006 visa championships she placed 4th and Jordyn 9th(Both healthy), 2007 visa,Rebecca placed 1st and Jordyn 3rd,then Rebecca became a senior at 2009 and Jordyn was a junior until 2011 ,the year when rebecca got injured.

I feel bad for her as well, but judging her recent performances it looks like she won't be a strong Olympic contender. I think her score was fair here as her balance checks showed her lack of control. With that said, I really like her, but unfortunately her injury really did a number on her and she just doesn't have the time to get back to 100%

Not really at all...you are either prepared or not..and if you aren't prepared then you aren't going to London. Marta isn't going to take chances. Bross is a great gymnasts but she will need to bring it at US Secret otherwise she will get eaten up but the new girls. Would Marta put Bross on the team just for Bars? Romania and Russia are very strong on beam and floor and Russia on bars and they could be on vault if the rumored amanars are true. Where does Bross fit?

I think if she tumbled into her dismount, she wouldn't have to straddle her legs as much. Like Carly did.

She's really gonna struggle to make the olympic team with ALL the other talent in the United States and only top 5 out on the floor at the olympics I'd put her in around 7th so she needs to improve if she wants to be on the team and NOT the alternate or worse. And who knows what she even looks like on floor or vault which can be problematic for her. Dunno if it's gonna happen for her. To many other stars that shine brighter and have better form and are more consistent at this point in time....

I only see .9 to 1.3 off...How in the world they got 2.2 off I have no idea. I actually think this was a great performance or her, at least so far into theseason for her making a "comeback" If she's this far in March, I'm thinking she can get pretty far by June.

Bross is a great gymnast. But I honestly don't see her making the cut this time around. As stated by others, there's just way too many superstars out shining her right now. Yes I understand she's a world medalist, but that was a long time ago. Who she was then and who she now are different people. As of right now, my money is on Wieber, Douglas, Raisman, then maybe Ross, Liukin, Maroney, or Finnegan, Liukin, and Maroney

dismount is definitely better. more than anything she looks nervous, but give her time to readjust to competition.

No USA Gymnastics puts out video at the ranch...you should look them up Jordyn now has a double layout as of April training. Plus we get insider info from the media day they just had. The thing is the talent pool for the US is too deep to not have 5 consistent gymnasts...not a what if, because Marta has tried that before and it cost the team gold. Bross was never the leader type and the only dimension she has over the rest of the US is her bars.

I really don't like Rebecca's gymnastics. I honestly don't want her to make that team. But Marta seems to be quite fond of the WOGA girls (cough Nastia cough) So she probably will make that team unfortunately.

it wasn't that difficult of an injury compared to Mustafina was it..or even Memmel? I think she has some good qualities but an E score in the 7's cannot happen at the Olympics. The reason America won in 2011 is because they were more consistent they in past years. Bross is okay but I hope she can do better at Trials.

It's nice to have dreams...I just ask you be realistic can since you read the news and are up to date then you should know there are at least 8 gymnast at full health that are better as well as a team that has won a world Championship without her. I am not fighting. Im telling you how it is.

Nah she really should retire it. Seriously, she rarely ever hits it. And this is one time... who knows if she'll ever hit it again in competition.

just something about her gymnastics that i do not like.. it kinda lacks the X factor.. or maybe its her presentation... not really pleasing to watch..
