Wrong back before the halloween update there were no infections system. U were just low but thats it. No matter how many time youve been bitten u wouldn't turn into a zombie. Also some old G&B content had stuff that made the game easier such as having no burning system or also that the blunderbuss had a faster reload (this one actually lasted till they dropped the chrismas update when they added Kaub and all the shit) and tbh i think G&B keep getting better and better with more content coming such as armors, new melee?, new variant of zombies?, new map etc...

@@AntiAzerty Chaplains fixed the infection problem, but it was always there. If you got bitten enough, you'd turn into a runner upon death. It was a long time ago so things are a bit fuzzy, but there was also a theme that played when you got infected. I do not recall whether or not players turned into runners since the beginning, though. All of this was long before the halloween update. As a matter of fact, the chaplain was in G&B around the same time Leipzig was added, but the class wasn't yet public. Trust me, I played G&B before JMT made his first video on it.

Back in mah days, a single shambler can kill just by grabbing and you must spam "HELP" in the chat, there was no way to escape other than your teammates killing the shambler. Back in mah days bombers weren't added.

I mean the seaman's blunderbuss used to be a literal handheld cannon that would obliterate everything infront of it much like the current nock gun just with wider spread and a much faster reload speed plus bombers didnt exist yet

Number 5 is weird, the person was out of range and out of earshot in the old version. But please don't think as this as bullying.

Okay im going to yap a bit as a G&B player whos played the game since runners were added. Now 1st thing i wanna say is back when zappers were added there wasnt any ghost hits for them you could basically dodge them. 2nd breaking legs were basically just the same there is (from what i know) wasnt any evidence of fall damage being changed at all. 3rd Is that its hard to notice teammates dying since rarely any of them did as reason number 1: They actually shot bombers. And were skilled at it. 4th Using crucifix in order to survive isnt that big as 90% of the time you get the same results aka killing the horde it all depends if most of your team is alive or that there skilled. Thats all most of G&B have stayed the same as before infact i think newer G&B is harder due to unexperienced teammates this will probably be changed in the future from edits bur for now its all i have to say.

As a kiter in old hougoumont where outside was so much brighter. I can confirm old gnb was not even that hard. Current is way more harder, all your problem was runners in old gnb.

Seaman gun was good for killing zombie but new seaman gun was not that good now

Also the old sapper zombies were not as deadly because their range was terrible

That infected part was so funny because If you were on the verge of being a zombie and barely survive your screen would be red for the rest of the campaign.

Old G&B was easier not harder the old reload for the first ever blunderbuss (there has been 3 different versions of the blunderbuss) was very short compared to the musket. Before the fife didn’t act like the drums where you needed to click. The zombie AI sucked ass so you could get to waves like 50 or higher

Reasons why difficulty didn’t change 1 most medics are dumb and go away from players who have no health . 2 Falling from a significant height, still kills you

Hello Everyone, I’m just making this clear. I did not play Old Guts and blackpowder. I played this game since August 2023. So the word “Old” meaning in this video is the version from August 2023 to October 2023 (Halloween update). Not the old version of Guts and Blackpowder that you guys were thinking.

In the older versions, sappers were so easy to cheese, as like how Shambler's are, you were able to hit them with a Sabre and it wound cancel their attack you were also able to spawnkill zombies, which also made it a lot easier

My brother on christ the old game was much easier runners we'rent punishing at all the old classes were much stronger ex being the navyman with his broken ass blunderbuss except the officer.

A lot of the fall dmg things were because they fealt bad for new players. The zappers dont do 540's when they swing now, but they are not slower Lack of medics was annoying. You could survive like 8 attacks, chances are you die before you turn. Infection still regressed. Also, using footage from after the update. Skill issue, the hell you doin seperated from eachother. Though, there was no yelp, i'll give you that point. Priest crux op. Yall spoiled nowadays Bump up your brightness, skill issue. Even post halloween, no one uses lanterns

this is incorrect ive played since before vardo was released and uhh you talked about lighting equipment when you had a lantern in your inventory

I was playing on the alpha version where there were only leipzig and vard as objective maps I kid you not players rn are absolutely shredding leipzig compared to alpha where you not only need a competent sapper but a good fifer(not called musician) too, I miss when the games hitbox was so bad you can be bait by just circling around zombies and PLAY THE FIFE WHILE NOT BEING GRABBED BY LIKE 20 SHAMBLERS.
