I have a tip for KOTL but I am still not sure how it works. After grabbing the opponent jump and if the opponent uses recovery kick, use special attack. Sometimes it connects all the three hits but sometimes doesn't. Maybe it is about timing

You will at MOST use maybe 1k health to enter, at which point you will do 3k or more damage to the opponent (which they can't dodge or require moves so frame perfect you have never done them in your life) like at 1:53, where the only reason you 'only' did 2.3 k damage was cause Sarge and Marcus are the only ones that can get out of a stun lock.

Then what you will use your health for shadow energy and what? You need sharp timing to hit shadow attacks to your opponent to get that healt back, or maybe you just play against bots who can't dodge that.

@@Mokorelsare If you think people can doge the shadow attacks, then make a video showing exactly how one can dodge/punish a kotl if they manage to hit at the very least 1 attack in shadow form, as in the video you roll at them, and if they do not hit you right then, you do a minimum 2k damage, and over 3k if they can't answer it with someone like Sarge, Marcus, Itu, or Cobra. The attack of Kotl in shadow form are critical. As long as you get a hit, the opponent will be staggered long enough to not be able to doge the second hit. In this very video your 'sharp timing is rollong in, using an attack, and using all other attack as fast as possible, and since king has armor, if they don't get a random crit, at the very least 3 shadow attack will connect, which is around 1.8k damage. Also, the existence of Kate and Azuma means nothing. kotl is not balance ust because there are heroes that counter him. If a hero is so oppressive that you need a specific hero to have a chance at beating them, that means the hero is op and needs a nerf.

The reason why King is balanced is because he struggles to gain shadow energy. His shadow form is really powerful, but he gains shadow energy really slowly, so it balances out. He either has to slowly gain it by outplaying his opponent, because remember, he gains no Shadow energy from being hit. Or he has to sacrifice his health, which can go wrong very quickly. Also, any hero with Shadow draining or shadow suppression can easily stop him from gaining shadow energy. Against heroes like Kate, Azuma, or even Ling with his epic weapon, you are basically forced to use Sacrificial Pact to enter shadow form, which is very exploitable. I agree that he's slightly above average, and he's definitely stronger than some characters, but u think that's fine. He has plenty of counterplay, and I personally have never had trouble fighting him, ever. I think he is fine as is.

If kate is balanced then kotl is also balanced. Some kids cry that kotl is meta and kate is balanced. Kate has literally everything, high defence, high damage, shadow burning, never surrender talent. I also use kotl bcoz of kate but some kids cry that why are you using meta character

Its not hard to get Shadow Energy on him at all, you literally press one button. 8:05 you call this sht hard? He also has a weapon that gives him 1/4th of his Shadow bar and a talent that gives him 1/2th on death. He also has an ability that makes his Shadow Combo undodgeable, he heals from damage in Shadow form, he heals from his Ranged Attack, he heals while in his afterlife. He has the best Mix-Ups in the game, and there is no discussion here. He is the most overpowered character in the game, period. Also, when Shang had an "undogable" Shadow Combo, he got nerfed and is now unplayable. But KOTL, he has an ability made specifically for that, and he is untouched.

Exactly, with the right talent setup you can regenerate most of the health you lose when using the pact. King of the Legion is not balanced at all

You crying for shang nerf?😂He was the most broken hero and still is with weak point and epic u can literally wipe 60%health with one combo. Shang can also regenerate huge health because he gains shadow too quickly+he has shadow sheild to back him up.Other dynasties can regenerate health back to back even though they have HUGE health 😂 If u crying for kotl ranged,u need to be a sharpshooter to connect because opponents can dodge it easily which makes it useless 😂 Yes kotl can regenerate health but that tiny bit health can't help him anyway, unlike shangeh he needs to sacrifice his health for shadow so he has at least 2 guaranteed combo where shang had all combos before the GOOD nerf😂 Compering Legendary with cheap Common shang what a loser 🤣

@@Cheap-Itu_User Kotl can also wipe 60% hp so what's your point? Kotl doesn't need health regen since he has afterlife, which comes back every round. You can literally win with Kotl by using his shadow combo twice and never landing any other move (apart from like, 3 or 4 pokes). Also, rarities are arbitrary, and saying a hero having more dmg/hp and better moves/talents because of the rarities is one of if not the lames excues someone can give for an unbalance hero. 'OMG this hero does two times more damage than me and can one shot me! That's because he is a legendary while you are only a common.' (Just in case you weren't smare enough to realise, I overexaggerated the last part, that is not something in sf4, you can't counter my argument by just saying 'nuh uh')

Bruh what a logic 😂 Afterlife is his main special ability like others. His shadow abilities can be easily dodged unlike shang cheap combos. Lynx,ling,itu and many heroes have corner combos lmao Range attack increase health until u hit them dumbo and that's also a talent not for free Grabbing combo is only one but dynasty heroes have cheap basic cancel grab combo, what u are gonna do about that lol. King of the legion is far balanced than others 👑

​@@Cheap-Itu_User Makin afterlife his gimmick doesn't mean it's a good gimmick. If there is a hero where their gimmick is that all of their moves do 1000 unblockable in shadow form, everyone will say its op. His shadow abilities aren't easily dodged. The only ability that is easily dodge is the grond shake, which as I hope you know, is used right at the start of the combo with the explosion to guarantee it. Getting hit with even a single one means you egt hit will all, as the range they have and the knockback/knockdown are too much. (for shang, you can dodge 99% of the spinning moves dmg and lets not forget, HE DOESN'T HAVE ARMOR ON HIS MOVES SO YOU CAN ACUALLY DAMAGE HIM AND RUIN HIS COMBO) Other having corner combos doen't mean they are good or acceplable. Range attack is 90% of the time a throw move, so i don't know what the argument was there, tho.
