Can you show how to do a sidechain bus with the new sidechain tool so that all of your instruments run through it and you can sidechain to the kick and snare at the same time. Is there away to draw out an automation that would be triggered by the kick and snare in Reason 13 instead of using the spider merger and routing all devices through it. I want a more simple one line automation that sidechains all devices by the kick and snare trigger.

@@Chrisreedbeats Definitely, please let me know when you do. I wish The peeps at Reason would add these small features. I get tired of having to add 10 spiders and routing 100 cables to sidechain from the kick only... It would make it easier on their users. Also, adding a different automation feature would be nice too. Yes, in Reason you can automate but we are still limited as to what commands we can automate! Example: I can't just automate a WAV file with out a plugin attached to it.

When its $79 its a deal. That's what I paid for the 12 upgrade.

At the beginning the new workflow was a bit difficult for me, especially the browser. After a few days (I participated in the beta) I can't imagine going back to version 12, now it's faster and I'm discovering many older presets. The price is high, but it includes all updates and fixes in the future. If you think about it, you can assume that it's $66 per year if the next version comes out in 3 years. I see it as a support for Reason Studios, they do a great job!

I just love how easily you lay down a fresh new bassline. Is there a particular reason why you have multiple Redrum devices for laying down the drums? I have this pet peeve with Redrum: that when I fill up a set of drums in it, applying different effects separately on each sample can be a bit of a hassle.

Appreciate that! A lot of what I do is for productivity reasons to keep my workflow going and not be bogged down with technical features. Sometimes I love flipping the rack and routing the Redrum channels to individual mixer channels and sometimes I just duplicate the Redrum instead because it’s faster

@@ChrisreedbeatsIndividual mix channels might even be smarter than how I do things. Like hooking it up to a 6 channel mixer, and then have the effects as send devices.

@@jonathanterol4528 yea workflow is always #1 for me then sound quality then practicality. But it would be something to try for sure. Using mixer channels would give you the most flexibility with adding effects to those channels

I prefer the layout of 12 more at least for now while I get used to 13. The browser categories and tags are great

@@Chrisreedbeats agreed about browser but this left side tool window is holding me back ,and if Reason will not gave us an option to toggle it and move to location it was before ill say bye to Reason plus and stick to old version ,the new devices isnt honestly new ,so no big loss

I miss music like this. Old School R&B/Lo-Fi like. Great vibe, Chris. I haven't used Reason since 5 or 6 but i have to look for this new version. Looks really nice. The only thing i disliked about reason was wiring the cables in the racks, etc. Do you know if there is now a way to not have to do that?

Hello : the new transpose tool doesn't transpose by semitones but octaves : and it never remembers the layouts everything opens in half screen, is it a bug? Also the browser is laggy ....... uhhh Cheers 🥂 🥂

Browser is laggy. Transpose does shift by semitone, look at it again you will see the buttons for shifting by semitone. Mine remembers my layout so idk maybe yours does have a bug?
