Rear wheel bearing replacement 2011 Mazda CX-7 fwd
In this video I’m replacing the rear wheel bearing on a 11 Mazda CX-7 fwd....
once the bearing is off the vehicle as an assembly you can hit the back of the bearing where the wheel speed sensor goes. That plastic will break then you’ll eventually see back off the wheel hub with the ball bearings visible. Keep hitting it until the whole assembly falls out

Thanks for the video! Made changing mine so much easier knowing what was needed ahead of time. Kudos!
Nice job thank you for the video
Great Video!
good video. need to replace the backing plate, all because the bolt for the bottom shoe plate snapped off. oh well, this is rust belt. the bearing does seem to be going as well, so a good chance to replace it.
Nut and bolt always works and is alot easier use grade 8.8 or class 11.9 far better than any other method.
How did you get the backing plate off the wheels bearing mine is stuck on

annoying noise and even worse to replace lol
Also looks like the wheel cylinder is leaking ?
i have a question How in the world are you able to spin the hub assy when its connected to the rear end gears ? ?

The car is front wheel drive. This is the rear hub. There’s nothing driven in the rear. You’re pretty much just dragging the rear wheels. The job is a bit different on the AWD version.
As easy AS THE ROTOR CAME CAME OFF MEANS THE REAR PARKING ASSY IS NOT ADJUSTED ENOUGH
OH IM SORRY THIS IS A fwd i have a AWD and you can not spin the hub
There a screw to remove the rotor.

Yes, it’s a Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) screw. A #3 Phillips works if it’s not too seized. If it is, drill the head off and extract it once the rotor is off. Or, if you’re like me, just cut the rest of the screw off and don’t bother replacing it, which is probably what happened at some point in this car’s past. Over 115k miles on my last brake job and the car doesn’t seem to miss that screw. The booger of this job is getting the hub off the backing plate. I used a torch and a big hammer.
That’s not RWD.! That’s only front wheel drive ... 🤦🏻♂️
