Rear Handle Circular Saw / Full Depth Cut Test / Dewalt Flexvolt / Flex Stacked Lithium / Metabo HPT
Welcome back everyone. In this video I’m going to demonstrating a full depth cut with these 7-1/4 rear handle circular saws at almost 30 feet. Strictly testing performance and battery life. We have the newer addition metabo hpt 36 volt rear handle with the 4/8 amp hour, the Dewalt Flexvolt rear handle with 3/9 amp hour, and last but not least the new Flex 24 volt rear handle with the 10 amp hour stacked lithium. Let’s how these saws hold up cutting at full depth for almost 30 feet as well as the battery’s performance. #powertools #construction #flex #dewalt #metabohpt #circularsaw

Flex seemed the strongest/fastest. Dewalt seem to be the best with sawdust, it stayed the cleanest
That's awesome brother! I always wanted to buy the Metabo rear handle saw! Carpenters are awesome bro! I'm chiming in from Northern, New Brunswick, Canada!
Good test! I think Metabo HPT is one of the most underrated brands on the market. It’s not just the saw, all of their tools run exceptionally smooth.

Man your not Kidding! They are killing it! I have the rear handle, the 36 volt triple hammer and the 36 volt sawzall. They perform just as good as any brand in most cases better. The 36 volt recip saw is probably the fastest in the world. The triple hammer is 🔥🔥🔥. This rear handle is so light I carry it around all day back and forth. Not the fastest but fast enough. Thanks for the kind words brother. I definitely appreciate it ✊

Thanks buddy. Yeah man, if you don’t need a huge rear handle saw, then I would go with what makes sense. Unless you come across an amazing deal or you could write the tools off if you had a business. Comes down to what you need instead of what you want. Just from that cut a lone all 3 saws lost a bar of battery, but only the metabo went back up to 4 bars after it rested a few minutes. That would make for a great short in a Timelapse or an outro. Great idea man. You take care Athannael and have a great weekend bud. Thank you 🙏

I definitely like the Metabo but I already needed to scratch some more degree markers into the bevel adjustment because it only goes in increments of 5. Also needed to reach for my DeWalt sidewinder for 57° cuts on the roof I'm doing because the Metabo only goes to 53°. Obviously those are some fairly uncommon needs from the saw so most people won't run into that. Solid tests bro.

Jeff I can’t tell you enough how much that means brother. I try to keep things as simple as possible. I’m still very new to filming and editing. I wish I had way more time to devote to the channel. Concrete man by day and a Dad to a beautiful 5 year old boy 24/7. I wish his mother would straighten up and be involved in his life but she’s battling her own demons. Hopefully she gets help and I’ve offered more than any. My family is a huge help with taking care of him. My mother watches him while I work. I’ve been in recovery ever since he was a couple months old. I tell you buddy, if getting shot in your chest and left for dead in a parking lot, being locked up in jail and treatment centers, and being blessed with a beautiful child still wasn’t able to get me to stop. I had to dig deep in my soul and want my life back. Nothing can change you if your not willing to change. That’s what I found inside of me. The WILL. The will to fight, to live, to never give up, to be the best father I can be to my son. The last relapse I had I lost everything. A great job, my apartment, my vehicle and almost lost custody of my son. Things are good now bro. I had to swallow my pride and move into my Dads place at 35 yrs old and start over. I’ll get me and my son our own place soon enough when I feel comfortable being on my own again and can afford to support us by myself. I’ll get there. Thanks for listening bro and I appreciate the comment. More than you know brother ✊

We had to get another Metabo HPT cuz our crew was fighting over the other two that guys now prefer over our old favorite- Makita 36v The Milwaukee rarely gets used except for some rough demo work and the Flexvolt is paired with a Prazi beam saw cuz it wighs so much and does have good power We are using the Metabo HPT rear handle in applications we used smaller and lighter saws in the past but because of it's weight and performance use it everywhere

Typical rear handle weight distribution on the Flex. A touch heavier than Dewalt. It’s nowhere near the cordless Skilsaw weight though🤣. Not bad at all. Extremely powerful with that stacked lithium battery man. Thanks for comment brother.
Did that flex dust port clog? It worked good in the beginning.
@IMPACT-NATION
Жыл бұрын
Pretty sure that’s what happened man. This lumber was a tad wet. The dewalt dust port works really well but it shoots all over you. The flex design is way better though. On lumber that hasn’t set out in the rain for awhile the Flex never clogs. Also running at full depth doesn’t help
У Флекса плюс+ , то что выброс опилок справа! Почему не было Макита drs780?
Just a heads up on these rear handle saws they are just sidewinder in disguise with a rear handle and blade on the left, they don't have gearing of a true worm drive, I wouldn't recommend doing cuts like that you can burn the motor out
@IMPACT-NATION
Жыл бұрын
I can agree with that. Helical (which I’m assuming they all are) are designed for high load speed but the worm gearing would definitely be ideal for full depth high torque cuts. That’s why I don’t like pushing these saws as fast as I can in these types of cuts. Especially the lower rpm metabo hpt. Thanks for the comment brother
@ty0285

skilsaw makes a true brushless wormdrive 920 cdn. I bought their home brand brushless saw figured I'd give it shot on jobsite as it was 400 cheaper.
Laugh at me bro. I had to watch this video again man. I had had to see that Flex in action again No one on KZread has this kind of endurance test man. That DeWalt sounded like it didn't drop off power but I could see the blade better on the Flex. . I was watching your hand and it seems like you had a straighten line more on the Matabo and Flex. By the way is the Flex the only saw with a light or it that the light is so much brighter than the others? Correct me if I am wrong.
@histguy101
2 жыл бұрын
The Metabo HPT does not have a light, and I'm pretty sure the DeWalt doesn't either. A lot of them don't. They're heavier to begin with and have great line of sight on both sides of the blade, so they don't really need one. I don't think the Makitas have a light either. The Milwaukee has a light.

Only the Flex that I’m aware of brother. Could be wrong. I know the fuel does and maybe the Xgt but I’m not 💯 on that. Yeah I’m a lefty. Cutting right handed is still foreign to me. I have the Flex 7 1/4" but I will never use it because the blade is on the right and when I bought it I assumed it was on the left.
So here comes the question from a biased guy. If you had to choose one saw only, which one would it be and why. I have a Milwaukee rear handle and I love it but one of those three saws will replace it. I am a blade left saw guy only so 6 1/2" and rear handle is my thing.

I had the Milwaukee rear handle for a while and loved it. Only complaint I had was the heavy 12.0 battery. I use to run it with 2 6ah switching them out through the day. Gave me identical power as the 12 but just less run time and way less weight. I sold it and bought both flexvolt sidewinder and rear handle. Awesome as well love them both. The only reason I say the metabo hpt is that it’s the lightest saw, not as much power as the others but enough power to accomplish any task. Great batteries and run time and they’ve been running deals. But the saw for 199$ get free battery and charger!!! But if you have the extra money and want a pure powerhouse monster of a saw that cuts smooth, go with the Flex.
