    I looked at tons of vids that only showed the front brake switch, so glad you had one for the rear, which is the problem I have. Thanks!

    Thanks! I have found that the dexterity has improved by challenging myself by working by feel on “easy/simple” projects. Has improved my ability to work quickly in places where I definitely can’t see anything.

    I am very lucky to have three HD Dealerships within 30 miles of where I live. So I usually have choices on which place to get a part same day. And thank you for watching and glad you enjoyed!

    Got the same problem with my KTM RC390. Luckily I did the forced connection test and the brake light came on so it's just a banjo switch to replace. £27 though.....ouch.

    I don't know if i should thumbs up this one for getting it sorted or thumbs down it for it costing that much! Glad you got it sorted. Great feeling figuring it out and making it work with your own two hands.

    I was always told to use new washer to avoid leaks. I got a brand new banjo bolt for my new rearsets and it immediately failed.

    I think that is a good precaution as washers tend to be inexpensive insurance. I have changed out a few of these and never had an issue with them leaking at the washer. And I will be honest, I did this quick to get the bike back on the road so I didn't have any down time. I am by no means a great mechanic, or the most meticulous as times.

    Such a little annoying part but in my country you won't pass inspection. Its cable operated on my bike and it gets stuck all the fucking time ...

    Question if this fails will it not work on the front hand brake as well?

  • @LoneWolferGarage

    @LoneWolferGarage

    2 жыл бұрын

    The front hand brake has its own switch. So if one fails, one will still be working so you have brakes lights to warn people behind you until you can repair.

    @@LoneWolferGarage shit they are both not working do u think it can be a fuse?

  • @LoneWolferGarage

    Could be. Could also be a ground issue. But I would start with checking the fuse.

    I think mines a wiring issue cuz I get nothing with a paper clip. Where do I start. Everything under the rear fender is ok I check it all. I think maybe the connector is so corroded it needs to be replaced

  • @LoneWolferGarage

    The fuse would be the first place I would check if I suspected it to be wiring. Then search for any frayed or exposed wires leading to and from the brake switch.

    When my bike gets hot, brakelight stays on, even if you disconnect the wires to the rear brakelight switch it stays on. Once the bike cools down it works again. Can't figure it out.
