I couldn't imagine using the old trim piece again. The box looks dated now too because of it...but it is the same matching color and material as my interior so it still looks good. Looks even better with my trim pieces in place. I have more in store for the rear of this vehicle coming up. This piece was just going to be black with a clear window but when i noticed the logo getting lost in the mix with all the batteries behind it i knew i had to do something. Lucky for me i have all the colors IN STOCK. I drew the carbon fiber pattern myself block by block...and found a hexi-pattern online and used that. It was inspired by the actual hexi pattern i see in the battery itself. If i had to do this all over again i could get much more detailed on the logo but i didn't know i was going to go that far. I can't cut out some open areas that i would do now if i had a chance. It's ok, i love it. Thanks for watching if you did! new video coming soon!

Sorry the video's are lagging behind some. I REALLY didn't mean to take this thing this far. But i couldn't use the old trim. It was too beat up from the bass over the years. A few things i didn't do yet. The stainless steel brackets that hold it in place will be done next along with the wiring. I am adding a few things to the side trim panels...I have been posting daily updates on my instagram channel so if you want to see the progress sometimes days before it hit's youtube, that is the place to do it. Plus lots of live streams. Follow me at instagram.com/meade916
