Are you using Reaper for the editing and production of your podcast episodes?
Creating a template in your editing software/digital audio workstation/DAW that you can load up for every episode of a podcast that you produce can save you hundreds of hours over the life of your podcast.
That’s why in this video, I’m going to show you how to create a Reaper Podcast Template that you can save and then load up for each episode.
It’ll be set up to enable you to navigate the session and edit quickly, and it’ll have plugins set up so you only need to do minimal mixing and mastering for each episode.

Joe, this is simply brilliant! Thank you. I’m about to start producing an audiobook, followed up with a podcast series, based around recordings I made over 50 years ago in the Australian outback, using a Tandberg portable reel to reel machine. (Recordings now digitised). I had been planning to use Hindenburg as my DAW, but I reckon Reaper will suit my style better. (I’m familiar with Final Cut Pro and GarageBand). Your no-nonsense, well-paced tutorials (good for a 76 year-old) WILL set me up completely!

That sounds awesome! I'm glad the tutorial helped. I haven't gotten round to trying Hindenburg, but Reaper is what I usually recommend these days.

Bacon, Hobbes, Descartes and their cool kid club need to sit closer together because Joe Crow’s videos are so enlightening that he deserves a seat at the table.
