Kinda sucks Dark Knight for shafted in Endwalker when it has this level of competition. The much cooler cousin, Reaper, all DRK mains might as well reroll.

@@EmarCeeHW For sure theres room for both, but the problem is they didnt put enough work into DRK changes this expansion, which feels bad as DRK mains. Tons of unfixed problems, Blood Weapon duration, Living Dead being not good, No AoE Carve and Spit, 60 second Carve and Spit while other tanks all have 30 second OGCD. I really like the class, but they got neglected. So maybe they will get some changes before release.

More like "Old MacGarlean got tired of prejudice, racism and a Genocide Campaign just because they can't use magic, so they made a deal with Eldritch Abominaitons" - seriously, can we stop ignoring the fact the Eorzeans had a literal genocide campaign against Garleans It literally says in the Reaper description they turned to this magic to fight against magic wielding invaders.

I can't believe that Zenos is actually LESS selfish now as a Reaper than as a Samurai. I guess we really did teach him the value of friendship!

I really love seeing the connection with Reaper's beginnings in farming as well! Even if the actions look stylish and edgy, stuff like "Harvest Moon" and "Soul Sow" remind you that you just gotta mow hay

It's unfortunate they didn't take a page out of WoWs book and just allow people to play the new classes early to level them to be able to start Endwalker.

I cannot see this Reaper armour without thinking of him as Yoshida lol. A testament to the quality of Yoshi's cosplay honestly.

My guess is that reaper's headgear is similar to blackmage since they deal with voidsent. Blackmages covered their eyes with an eyepatch and big hat to avoid eye contact with voidsent when hunting them.

My only criticsm, which I suppose is a pretty good "only" criticsm to have, is that the icons are really bad. The colors are super washed out, giving me a much dreaded Red Mage feel.

As a Drg main since Arr, I’m excited to finally have another maiming class to share gear with and go sicko mode with RPR :3

yep, I got into drg just to farm glam from r reaper, and I can't wait so see reaper in the eureka armor

The reference to the Basically, Black Mage video (I think) at the beginning with the eye covering increasing your DPS made me very happy

argh, the sfx and visuals are so satisfying to look at

I'm more interested in that OST playing in the background at the beginning! It's gorgeous!

Does anyone else get old school dark knight feel from this? This reminds me of the old days when DRK was a massive damage dealing monster at the cost of hp. And could use scythes.

welp I can see what everyone will be playing for the first 3 months of the expansion.

Everytime I see something about reaper, I want to play it even more

When I saw forward and backward pushing skills with a range proc in between. (Samurai main here) I was sold on the replacement.

I‘m sold.

I remember when people were coming up ideas on what the second limited job would be like, one of the ideas was a suit job in which the character would have a different costume or transformation in that job. Reaper will be the first job in the game to have a full transformation of your character in combat and I think having that ability is an interesting way of differeniate the job from Dark Knight.
