Nice.. I like knives..

That half-deployment is not really a safety feature but more of a side effect from duel action OTFs. Since the power is 50/50 to open and close a knife unlike a single-action OTF which can use all of it's energy to open and cut through a box.

I use Infinity Tactical Knives for my OTF knives. I’m here in Houston, and they are locally made here in Texas. I got my first one over 5 years ago. Last Christmas I got everyone in the family one. I personally have 3 different models from them. I love their customer service. I get them locally at gun shows for around $100. Great quality. Microtech makes an incredible knife!! Out of my price range though….

I just bought a microtech ultratech......blue handle with a tanto blade, the real microtech bits to work on it are about 30 bux a piece, I love the knife.....

Nice! ... if only they were legal... They're expensive, but very high quality- especially for being an auto. Top of the game

Haha, safety mechanism… not really. I have dozens of these and the mechanism is only strong enough to deploy the blade to its locking position. So any resistance at all and they fail. Also be careful having dimes in your pocket if you carry them. Dimes and Pennie’s will get stuck in the slot and jam the blade up.

Unfortunately, not all Microtechs are made in America anymore. More of their original USA made models are starting to be manufactured by Rike Knife out of Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, China.

If a microtech is too much for your pockets, Very close second, and easy on the wallet TacKnives.

A few months or light use and it'll start jamming both ways lol

They do have some blade play but it doesn’t get worse over time. I have an Ultratech from 4 years ago that feels and functions exactly the same as it did out of the box. Microtech doesn’t play around. There are a few torture test videos where they’re subjected to ridiculous abuse that no one would ever mimic is real life use and they continue to function perfectly. That can’t be said for Benchmade’s OTF offerings and definitely not Chinese junk like Cobratech or the Chinese Microtech clones.

How do you know they’re junk if you never used them? Is the build quality that bad that you won’t even try them out to see how well they perform? Why didn’t you just return them if you’re that unsatisfied with the product? Selling them is always an option. If they’re like you say (brand new, never used) then it should be fairly easy to get a good price. I’ve been selling a lot of items on FB Marketplace lately and you’d be surprised how easy it is to get rid of products. I stopped using Craigslist a couple years ago and never looked back. Sure, you probably won’t get back what you paid, but at least you’ll recoup something.

microtech = trash. stick a piece of paper 1-2" in front of the blade and push the actuator. watch ithe blade come off its slide railings and the springs detach. A PIECE OF PAPER!!

100% illegal in the UK . We call them stiletto knives and no matter the size of the blade or if it has a safety system so you couldn't just put it up to a body part and launch the blade into said body part . But it's banned because it could possibly do that . Sneaked one back from France once . My dad found it and kept it for his collection which I inherited when he passed but the spring had lost its power so destroyed it because it was no good not it's legality 😉👌 love the action why I wanted one . Also flick knife where the blade comes out from the side by a button are banned . But in the UK most knives are banned from being carried. Unless it has a purpose. So I fish and camp I have a fixed blade 5 inch blade a moraknive with a sheaf think it's called companion. I can put it in my tackle bag or camping bug out bag and carry it as it has a purpose. Crazy UK laws . But I do have a key ring knife it pops out from the side has a lock but only ¾ inch blad and no actual point and that's legal but still keep it hidden as I'd most probably get it taken off me if police was to see it . Nuts 🫶👌😉 great video wish I could own most knives you have but no point if their just going to sit in a drawer or display. Not enough walls for what I'd like to have 🤣😂
