If Mixamo supports the file format - probably since it supports FBX.

I have rigify that comes with blender 4, (0.6.9), when I select the CC base armature, the "generate rig" button is grayed out. Any ideas?

example FBX-files: File / Import / FBX and select folder "FBX" and there find right model, select .fbx-file

You can do load the model and use them regardless of the OS you’re working with.

It’s a zip archive with 3d models that will load in recent Blender versions. If the Ubuntu version is relatively new these files will load in Blender.
