Always get excited for when I'm about to go to sleep because these are what I listen to, and it's always really calming

"Why?" It was the only question on my mind as all of life's moments flashed before my eyes. Every awkward silence, every missed opportunity, every embarrassing situation, every unspoken confession, and every unheard cry of pain. The heartache, the misery, the loneliness, guilt, anger, fear, anxiety, all of it, all at once, over and over until.... A tear welled up in my eye through the flashes of light, and the moments faded one by one until only one was left. My final moment. I can't help but chuckle to myself. "Why, they'll ask. We couldn't have seen this coming, they'll say. I know they'll all have questions and grieve in their own way, but I know the answer...." I close my eyes, take a breath, and prepare to fade away.
