Some summed up tips: make an actual audition video, be authentic, don't wear sunglasses or a hat during the video, aim for 3 minutes, film horizontally, no filters, talk about your life and more importantly talk about WHY you'd be good on the show. 18:24 This is interesting because Jesse says being on a show before isn't a disqualifier but that it most likely would be a factor. But at the time he did this interview, Survivor 42 had been filmed and they had cast Johnathan Young, who competed on a show when he was 14 that was similar to Survivor AND they had cast Tori, who had also been on a different reality show. Season 46 also has someone who played on Whipeout.

Not gonna lie, every time a survivor season ends I get Into an obsessive survivor kick and get soo pumped to do an audition to try and get on, but have sucked at making videos hahaha. This interview is exactly what I needed to see! I have spent sooooooo mich time googling and searching KZread to try and find every nook and cranny to try and get on the show! It's been my dream since I was 10 years old, but haven't been able to get that across. Thank you so much, and hopefully this could one day help me reach that dream! Edit: I've been watching for 15 years, and have been applying for 5, so I've obviously fallen flat getting my personality across. He probably has seen one of my videos and asked if I was ever going to get into specifics lol. Every audition has been a sales pitch.

He said in the video that they’re casting until beg of January/end of feb so i’d say it is still going on! They’re probably looking for more specific people at this point so it is probably harder but not impossible i’d say

@@jesusmarin1489 A lot of people post their video privately on youtube and send them the link in their bio on the application. Then you can check on youtube analytics to see if it was viewed and for how long

I would say a very good video and informative! Also exceptional quality as well. But the music playing the entire time was very distracting. Next time for sure shut it off after the introduction of the video.

awe I hear ya babe and thats totally valid - just like Jesse said do it and maybe have a friend that knows you super well look over it so they can tell you If it sounds like you or a script
