The Survival Russia Channel is about "The Reality Of Survival". I live on a Homestead in far away Russian wild nature and here are no room for "TV" Survival.
Only Reality counts here. Survival Russia promotes the philosophy of always carrying equipment and never to be parted from equipment which will affect chances of Survival.
So did the old timers and pioneers of both the East and the West.
Get Out and Train and Get it Done!

That military machete for pilots is also used as a "canopy breaker" to bust out of the wreckage by breaking the plexiglass. Like Lars says, not needed for civilian survival use. GREAT channel!

Think about it for a sec :) Even a good Leatherman tool is like that. The pliers are pliers but not as strong as real pliers, the knife is "just" a folder, the srewdrivers are OK but try and screw out a really tough set screw and.. Yes it's still good, useful and handy but not really good at anything :)

So damn tru...i have never had more than 1 or 2 multifunctional things actually be multifunctional or good at shyt. My hennesy hammock is technically multifunctional and actually gets used in those ways and works well...seea to summit pocket shower doubles as an outstanding drysack...think my S.O.G entrancing tool is pretty multifunctional and useful also...but. Thats about it. EVERY other "multifunctional" tool that I have ever owned sits derelict and decaying...long forgotten, why, you may ask. Simply bc its not good at anything.

@It was ME , DIO I hope you are joking :) about drinking your own pee. Those "$urvival" shows also feature such things as a guy swimming under a frozen river . . . These are some of the best ways to creature a self made blunder and die very quickly. I knew a guy who drank his own and even he knew NOT to do it in a survival situation. This will make your body evacuate water and other toxins much faster than usual then, dehydration becomes a serious issue.

This is a really interesting video, and makes a point I'd never considered; due to the fetishisation of the military in pop culture, we always assume that soldiers have the best gear, but in reality, a lot of military gear is for emergency use only. Great video! And great tool. Unfortunally (or fortunally, depending on how you look at it), there are very little bottles and litter out in the nature of Sweden. Most of our countrys population is very strong headed about leaving garbage around - even aserbic, as it is.

There is almost no place to 'survive' in Sweden - or Europe in general - you just walk another couple of kilometers and buy what you need in a local shop. Or at least ask locals for help, or just dial 112 on your mobile (with good mobile coverage virtually everywhere). So the only 'survival tool' you actually need is a good smartphone and a spare battery or power bank. So you could either just call or - if you prefer - enjoy KZread for a nice survival video like this one. === I am thinking: after all may be this is wise of us - Russians - to through the 'survival garbage' everywhere around Russia and not to clean places properly. So a can or a bottle could save a life really ))

joining items together is one of the most beneficial things to be able to do. Think of the benefits. Any sharp tool can be made longer to keep you further from a clawed animal. You can make walls and roofs by making thin tree limbs Wiiiiiide. Also, traps, splints, dragging things with a yoke instead of you hands. I enjoy reusing trash. We should get out of our wildernesses as fast a we can . So, why not use it when we are there. I HATE SEEING Those grey plastic grocery bags. Those thing kill fish, birds and other small to medium game and non game animals. It makes me sad just thinking about those thing cloying up a small creak or run then causing who knows via the estrogens in the plastic leaching into the water. SORRY I'll stop. I wanted to say You can make rope out of those things. When the trip is over bring them back to your home and recycle them if possible.

Hi there, I find here on yt that people are obsessed with knives. I see a lot of multi purpose come bushcraft knives being called the ultimate survival knife. If the knife has one extra feature than the last knife they bought it's considered far superior by these people. Just like the Rambo knife craze, I have come to the conclusion that these people are really full of shit & in each others pockets ad lib. I think in real world situations the knives would be useless. Realistically, the gimmicky bullshit that these wannabe's keep promoting aren't really good for anything but comparing non existent penis sizes. Practicality is nowhere to be seen with these people or the knives they show off. You may come across ONE honest review or tool etc in your search for decent information, then there's these people. If anything, being an ex-Army kid, less is more & if you have a tomahawk (hatchet), a pocket knife, a standard fixed blade & a machete you're well on your way. One of the best things you could invest in too are called F.R.E.D's, (Field Ration Eating Device.) Having little extras like you demonstrated are actually worthwhile too because it serves an ACTUAL purpose. Cheers & thankyou bud. :)
