I am currently at IIT-KGP, pursuing M. Tech, CSE. The advanced technologies which you are talking about, the students have to learn them on their own and not from the professors who teach there as even though they have immense knowledge, they have no teaching skill. In programming lab classes, we are given programs that have negligible industry based implementation and time gets wasted in doing them. Even if someone has interest in coding, there's no time to practice them just because every subject has assignments and class tests and the effort that goes in preparing and solving them is immense because there's no relation between what's taught in class and what's given in the tests and assignments. So instead of warning about everything that you have said in this video, it will be useful if you raise your voice against the age old course curriculum and impractical education system in even the premier institutes of India which the students have are facing year after year and just because they are able to cope up with their personal abilities, is getting ignored to be changed upon.

If you really want a good package irrespective of passion then go for it even if you don't end up with 1 crore for avg student in cse you can get 25lpa if you are motivation is money only don't worry, then you can just maintain 7.5 cgpa it's enough go for it money is the motivation for everything this is harsh reality for many

Gate cse has much more demand and prospect as compared to ece. You being ece doesn't matter. Its also a perfect ground for preparing cse
