I am also so confused. I am afraid, the numbers may grow high, because every year we have so many people graduating, and every year the competition is increasing :(. The place where i live, mechanical engineers are getting a salary of 1.5 lakh per annum. Seriously, its 1.5LPA 😔😔

😂 this topic is serious for people who just run for a job and packages blindly and dont really have interest in it Edit: Engineering is not about studying and just earning , its about innovation and putting down your ideas into real world , and staying updated with latest research and technology and helping scientists make use case of their discovery for humanity. If you dont get ideas and dont have passion, then dont go for engineering. Even in layoffs its because companies check which employee is staying up-to-date and which employee is just sitting and eating money , even if you become and engineer, you will be fired if you dont stay up-to-date
