I do think that becoming a Digital Nomad, or living a full time travel lifestyle has become a dream for quite a few people. But just like anything else, there are positives and negatives to every lifestyle. Life in Thailand as a foreigner has for sure come with it's own unique challenges. And when we see others living this lifestyle, it can be easy to be envious. But what is the FULL truth behind living overseas in Thailand, or any country for that matter? In today's videos I'm sharing some of my realities, as well as addressing some common misconceptions I think could be made from seeing these lifestyles online. Let's go!

The one thing I learned from living almost two years in Jakarta is: "No matter how far you run away from where you are - you can't outrun yourself."

Oh my gosh!!!! All true! It’s refreshing to hear someone be honest about the reality of traveling/ moving to a different country. It’s not all rainbows and unicorns. But you’re right; it can be totally worth it!!

First step to moving anywhere, make sure you are mentally ready. Many people go to Thailand and don't have a good time but they force it for some reason.

The grass is not greener on the other side, it's just different until it becomes the norm. Wherever you go your crap within side yourself is always with you.

Did three years as a full time digital nomad. First year a new continent each month. Met heaps of others. Many still no longer on the road and settled in the place they like best - mostly either Portugal or Thailand.

Yep! I now do six months in Portugal to maintain residency to later get citizenship. Then the rest of the year I split between Japan and Thailand. Which are now the only two countries I enjoying visiting outside of Europe. I travelled like crazy in my twenties and found there are only a handful of countries worth revisiting. Luckily I'm not American and don't have their crazy tax issues to deal with.

ITS DEFINITELY true it’s ALOT cheaper here in Thailand unless you have habits ( alcohol, weed , GIRLS ) etc … also a MAJOR difference is NO CREDIT checks

There are credit checks if you go to borrow with a top tier lender, little or no credit checks if you use a second tier lender, but they are basically loan sharks.

Moving to Pattaya this weekend from Az myself. Would love to buy you a beer when I get out there and pick your brain on the transition from Az to Thailand.
