Happy to see my son isn’t the only one who throws the biggest fit after bath time. Last night he held his breath for like an entire minute. 😩

My 17 month old is the same when when having his diaper changed. Recently we started giving him a book to look at and that distracts him long enough to get the diaper changed or at least the bottom half of him dressed

Not that I’m laughing at your struggle but it is nice to know I’m not the only one with a post bath battle😅💕

So glad to see someone else gives their toddler diaper cream to play with while changing their diaper 🤪 the amount of random crap I give my child just to make sure he doesn't touch his diaper is insane

That final moment of sitting in the rocking chair after a long day and the post-bath struggle always feels like the end of a marathon 😪 Also for diaper changes, we randomly took out her newborn mobile with music and seems little girl is having a walk down memory lane, because she is just mesmerized by it while we change her diaper. Likely won't last long but we are savoring this hack!

Appreciate your honesty in this video. So many others try to paint a perfect picture with no issues.

*Maybe a tip when dressing him is doing it with him standing. At least for me it made a world of a difference, since at some point they don´t want to be laying down as a baby anymore. You could close the diaper before hand and then put it on as a ¨pull up¨ diaper. Hope this tip helps, I remember those struggles all too well, lol*

I love the thought to wash while the water is still running and then just letting them rinse off in the water while it fills up. Totally doing this!

My son is 17 months and he does the EXACT same thing I’m always grabbing random items from the top drawer to try to get him to calm down and stay still long enough to get a diaper change or get dressed 😅 glad I’m not the only one thank you for real unedited vlogs 💙

Lmao 😂 YES this is my life every night - the horizontal struggle is REAL with every diaper and clothes change! Good to know Im not alone! Our night time routine is pretty similar. My daughter loves loves loves books and cant get enough stories! I also do prayers - Serenity prayer, Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be. And then sing one or two songs while cuddling before bed.

We do storytime during the day, sometimes when he wakes up in the morning. By the time its bedtime, most of the time he is totally not having any type of story. My son is 16 months, just a few month younger than jackson and love watching your videos. He also hates getting changed/diaper changes. I started doing songs/speech videos on my phone after bath just to calm him down, works like a charm.

If it makes you or anyone else feel better. My daughter broke my nose when changing her diaper. We dont have a changing table. I change my daughter on our bed or floor.

This is so me! Lol when putting a diaper on my son I have to go through and hand him anything by me until he’s content 😂

what about a few small sized books in the drawer that u can pull out while u dry him? I found that worked with my grand kids.....something small, not heavy- even maybe get a few little ones from the $ store.. just for change table time!

Oh Kayla!! I feel for you with changing clothes, putting clothes on, or diaper changes. My 14 month old fights tooth and nail. She cry’s and cry’s. I have to find something entertaining enough for her to allow me to do what I need to do. By the time I’m done, my anxiety is on high and I’m sweating!! My firstborn was never so complicating. My second- that’s another story!! They are like night and day. The screw you comment had me laughing hysterically!!! 🤣

Hi I first saw your video of Jackson when he was 3months old and he struggled to sleep properly. I was so reassured because I am in the exact same situation right now 😭 and seeing that he now sleeps through by himself reminds me there is light at the end of the tunnel lol. Have u tried changing him on the floor? Just I noticed my daughter (22 months) was a little bit like this but not when on the floor so I found she just didn't like being on the unit. I also found that having dim lights when changing her helped wind her down before bed. Where is the bath toy storage tray from? I was wondering in the video you do for Riley can you confirm when you gave her a pillow and blanket and how you knew she was ready?

Just like me lol! Our sons are pretty much the same age. I’m always giving him stuff to hold while I get him ready. My son loves when I put him lotion and baby cologne. For some reason he holds still. Likes the pampering I guess. I could never change him on a changing table though. I put him on the bed cuz it’s like a wrestling match to get those pjs on 😂

My daughter is good after her bath, usually isn't a pain getting dressed, absolutely loves story time, it's going to sleep that she's bad at 🤣 even when shes exhausted I can expect her to be awake for at least 10 minutes after we put her in bed and she wakes multiple times until around midnight, then she sleeps fine! She's 16 months old and her bedtime is 7pm x

I was cracking up. My toddler is the same. Hes always wild too. Climbing and jumping on furniture as well. Ur son actually stays still better while reading a book than my son does lol its a struggle tho.
