Because the don't side is also considered good art. The do side is aimed to realistic but the dont side is aimed to be simplistic. I take inspiration from album art e.g maroon 5 while writing this.

okay, so I feel like you didn't put in equal effort in my opinion. YES the work looks great but people could draw eyes realistically by using the first eye but with different tools, it seems as if you feel that people that draw as eye number one couldn't use or have the skill to use a blending tool or shading. People very well can draw it as eye number one and have good results with using shading, outlines, highlighting, detailing in the eye and realistic looking lashes instead of straight lines.

Nah, eyes are easy to draw after time and practice :). You just have to train your brain to think differently when drawing. It's real neat! I'm only 13, and I can draw an eye almost identical to the one on right hand side.

I randomly got this video in the sidebar and clicked on it, and you have really good tips! Drawing eyes is one of my favorite things to do and I'm pretty good at it but I always use a tissue paper or my fingertip to blend, I never heard of the actual blending tool. Is there a specific way to call that tool, a certain brand etc? I really want to purchase one but I have no idea what to look for.

Ismah Salehan I draw in B, as I naturally press hard on the page. :( I just find it easier to use, it's softer, and the way I draw is; I draw a rough sketch, rub it out so it is barely see-able, I do the outline, I do the little finicky details, I do the shadows, and then I colour or shade my drawing.

I've been trying faces for a couple of months and realised YESTERDAY that my later efforts were getting better and the reason why was the eyes were too big! When I saw this yt recommendation I had to watch. I have just figured this out by trial and error. If only I had seen this at the beginning of the summer. It's great to have confirmation of what I was doing wrong and side by side demo is BRILLIANT. There's lots of good instruction on yt but well done for a new and helpful style. New subscriber thanks,

Oh.My.God. I’m so proud of this eye! It eye looks exactly like the don’t side! But really , Rae, this was super helpful, and in the end my eye looked somewhat similar to the do side. Thank you!

You can see how she is having a hard time drawing the unrealistic one. She is so used to draw amazing. Great job! I loved it.

Trick is to draw the shape one after the other, using a ruler for dimensions

Даниела Иванова If you could read the oc said totally different, so that means its note similar to the other eye.

Wow I've been drawing eyes my entire life trying to figure out how they got the eye to look so realistic and your video gave me my answer. The blender is the one thing I missed 😂

Is it just me or does women/girls generally have better differentiation skills at colour or shading tones? I'm not talking about creativity or the shape of your drawing, just the toning.

this was amazing help, it really was. I've been wondering how to do it right, because my eye drawing like exactly like the left side. I was always pretty unhappy with it, and now I know how to fix it! new subscriber!

a great tut, showing the left side as dome by most, me included, then the right side how to correct, very cool and super smart to do the training this way.

sorry but why is their so much hate about the eyelashes..ppl saying she needs to learn how to draw lashes..lashes do look like this when u put falsies or mascara on. people are such haters it annoys me. be grateful she went to this effort for yall
