Great videos! I'm a newbie to your channel and just recently purchased a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo X (4x4). It doesn't have the air lift suspension or the select track dial, so I wouldn't be able to do the trails you can 🥺. While searching for mods for my Jeep, I came accross your channel and WOW, I love it and subcribed and started watching from the very beginning. I even teared a bit on "PRODIGAL WHAT?". So far up to the Presidential climb video. I had no idea of the Grand Cherokee's capabilities, very impressed. Very professional videos with the drone seens, choice of music, explainations of problems along the way, and involving the family. Thank you soooo much for taking the time to share with the rest of us. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family 🤠.

Very informative! I have learned how to handle my owned-since-new 2015 WK2 EcoDiesel 4x4 QuadraDrive II Overland (w/ aftermarket Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires, Mopar Rocksliders, and extra Chief Products bash plates, etc.) through "the school of hard knocks," even after ownership of 3 previous relatively capable 4x4s that I have owned over the previous 30+ years. Wished you had been there for me with these videos 6 years ago! Thanks! Excellent content!

Haha, Toyota owner here, I feel like you were talking to me! ( I'll have to check your schedule). Looks like a great time, I have to give credit to everyone for trying that last off-camber obstacle. Everybody cleaned it nicely, but it looks like it's probably pretty terrifying from the driver's seat. I was watching that thinking, yeah, I'd try that with my 4Runner, not sure how I'd like it. Mentally I'm turning on the rear locker, turning a ATRAC on, fiddling with the terrain select, LOL.

I have only used the Select Speed control a few times, but it is a great feature for maintaining speed without thinking about. Very similar to Toyota's Crawl Control

If you had to do it again, would you still opt for the Trailhawk with QL? Or, a lifted latitude or altitude with QD 2 & skids to match the Trailhawk?

Good job to the crew. Some serious tire lifting. Brad you need to hook up some kind of a tube on the back that squirts water... like when a dog is lifting its leg. LOL... kidding. Amazing difference between the tires. Cheers. RIck and Pam

hello, discover your channel tow days ago, and love it as a jeep GC enthusiast, and owner... don;t you think that the diesel GC can have more couple and power than the V8 or V6 ? Regards

We have been out with a couple of diesels. And yes they have more torque and low end power. But I haven’t seen a functional difference out on the trails. All of these engines have the ability to spin tires and over throttle. I think the style and type of tire on the trail matters more than which engine. Again, when your on the trail.

@@ProdigalOverland absolutely, tires matters alot...unfortunately, here in France, only diesel is available with the Trailhawk...my bro' have a summit the 3.6 V6 and i get the old WJ 4.7 V8....no electronic, the best one... thanks for the answer.

Just something for you to think about... would you consider doing a trip geared specifically towards AWD vehicles? Let’s say slightly modified AWD vehicles, obviously Subaru’s would be a good example. A very realistic example would be something with roughly 10” of ground clearance, may or may not have skid plates, A/T oversized tires, likely a CVT transmission with Poor crawl ratio’s. I think you could vastly expand your market base for your trips if you made one geared specifically towards these types of vehicles. I think If you could do a trail in high range, no lockers, no additional ground clearance from air suspension, and no hitting of the underside, that would be a good trail for a AWD vehicle. The hardest thing for these type of vehicles is a steep consistent climb, it can be nearly impossible if extremely slow speeds are required. These types of vehicles going off road is growing by huge leaps and they are wanting the kind of knowledge and experience 4x4 owners like yourself have. I think it would be fun and interesting content if maybe you could do something with another KZread’er that has a channel with these kinds of vehicles. I watch your and other channels to learn how to better off road in my AWD SUV. There’s little to no cross over from the 4x4 world to the “soft roading” community. I have several videos myself. But I’d point you towards JonDZ adventuring videos for the type of trails modified AWD vehicles can do.

Jeep designed the WK2 for the driver to just keep their foot on the throttle, and let the traction management system work it out for you. You're not supposed to lift. Slow steady throttle and the system will figure out where traction is needed. Try it, works awesome. Here's a really good video on that. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eItsqrNvgqayg9I.html
