The fault is that 90% of these shoes are “limited” in production which jack up the prices ridiculously. Retail prices are fairly affordable, resale prices are not. If there were enough retails manufactured, there wouldn’t be resellers.

The whole fucking point of street wear and sneaker culture (and hip hop!) was the counter culture aspect, where we could express ourselves through fashion regardless of level of wealth. 100% agree that Nike holding limited releases creates a manufactured demand, but the resellers can go fuck themselves. Its just like ticket scalping.

Even retail has flaws and are inconsistent. I’ll stick to reps where the only noticeable difference is the price tag LOL

Literally the fabric that made those reps was probably equipped as Nike ones to make shoes of that quality, only because they aren’t sold by Nike it doesn’t mean they’re reps if they are of a good quality

You literally just hit it right on the nail. The Chinese are sitting back laughing at all of us Americans. We are the only ones who care about this crap. I always tell people if it takes you over 30 minutes to tell if a pair of kicks are "authentic" or "fake" as they call it....9 times out of 10 they are both authentic. If a "fake" shoe is really that hard to tell the difference in....then just go with the "fake" bcz no one is looking that close at your feet. I have seen bad quality replicas that clearly are what we would call fake. Even the jumpman was backwards and a plastic feel to it. Real cheap material. That's different. Nike ships "B grade" shoes to the Nike outlets all the time. But if you sell a "B grade" on the street then they call it "fake" lol man get outta here with that.

That's not how it works, reps are not "U.A's." Factories will purchase real shoes as reference in order to copy them. The materials used are very similar but they aren't identical. If reps were made in the same factories it would be impossible to produce. They would be raided instantly. Factory workers study retail pairs for months and then begin pumping out batches.

@@jiggijames8990 I’m telling ya it varies from pair to pair. Some have the swoosh more sunken than other I even saw a UA pair that was more sunken than retail. I also saw a retail pair that had one swoosh more sunken on one shoe than the other. You cannot use it as an authenticator.

Mine are reps and they came in laced exactly like your real ones

Some authentic cactus Jack pairs have the logo nearly touching on the tongue … they’re not all 100% the same …

Retail shoes sit in warehouses for weeks and months on end. UA shoes come straight from the factory and has the glue smell, which isn't a massive problem because it isn't difficult to air out shoes.
