The 1 and 2 are cavity numbers. I work in plastic injection molding so the cavity number can be used to make sure you got a "full shot" and can also be used to identify tooling damage.

If your going to get a fake you should try to get a custom instead it will be more detailed and everything but if you want the og boba fett look than ignore this

The way you can tell them is fake is by logos in the painting

My dad never threw away my lego, yet I lost most SW figures from when I was little. I only cared about the bad guys, so I always ignored the clones and rebels. Now I have an old p2 Captain Rex with no helmet or cloth accessories.

I have an OG boba fett helmet and jet pack , it’s not fake it was just part of his old keychain and I surgically removed it to use on custom figures cause I was a psycho as a little kid 😭😂

I have a fake with a number 1. The only reason i know its fake is cause the hole that connects to the head is shaped like a stop sign

I'm an automotive mold designer by trade. I bet those numbers are used to identify which cavity of the mold that Lego piece came from in case there's an issue the mold can get serviced

Sometimes real lego have numbers and on the outside of the rim there will be a very small lego logo

I used to have like 3 of the Boba fetts and they got thrown away I never knew they were worth something. They were legit from sets too.

The 1 and 2 are from the mould process as its easier to print them onto a sprue and snip them off leaving a small bit of excess plastic, I’d assume at the base of the jetpack

When I was very young, my dad gave me the Lego Jango Fetts Slave one, still have the box and figures and whole set, Boba and Jango in good condition

These are also sometimes 3D printed too. I've seen once someone do it with FDM printing but most times I see it with Resin/SLA printing. I'll see these at conventions and fairs, though I've yet to see anyone try to pose it as an 'official Lego part'. I guess the layer-lines would be a dead-giveaway that it's 3D printed. 🤔

The helmets make up a good portion of the value of these figures. Parting that out is not as cheap as you may think. Also, you can tell the difference on decals up close, especially jango’s face

@@studstache Jango's helmet is costly but Boba's came out in so many sets and is currently $15 I believe. Lego SW came out while I was in my dark ages so I don't have any nostalgia towards those older figs so I don't pay too much attention to them. Glad I don't have the urge to collect ALL of the SW figs

I have both of them mini figures from my childhood in my loft. Both full sets as well but they are just mixed in with thousand of other bits of Lego. One day I need to go up there and sort it out. I must have around £10,000 worth of Lego sitting in boxes and never being played with. Could someone tell me exactly how much I would get for both of them if I was to find and sell them?

Boba fett is $30-$40 and the original Jango Fett is $300 roughly. Heavily depends on condition. You probably have a whole lot of value up in the loft

I got ripped off on Bricklink and got a prototype Boba with a fake helmet and obviously UV printed torso a while back. Called customer service and they said there was nothing they could do. Fml

Yea…that sucks. To be honest I’m not the biggest fan on buying high end items from bricklink for that reason. (Unless it’s a very reputable seller) Everything is the same listing photo and you have to go off of someone’s description. Sure, you can ask for more but in my experience they don’t get back to you before you find a better deal elsewhere. Something like that can be easily avoided on ebay with their authenticity guarantee. I don’t care if I pay a little more for that security, especially buying expensive items like that.

I have an old Phase 2 captain Rex helmet, (Lego) it has no tally marks on the top, the visor is slightly misprinted and there is a number 6 in the helmet. Is it a knockoff?
