What is the difference between EMD GT26CW-2 and EMD 645E3C? As you mentioned in your previous Karachi Loco Shed video that HGMU-30 has got the EMD 645E3C Prime Mover. Please clarify this confusion.

Thanks 👍 645 is the only prime mover ( diesel engine) Next version is 710 ( which is commonly used in Indian EMD Locomotives, wdp4, wdp4d, GT26CW-2 is the model number of a locomotive as a whole, Predecessor of GT26CW ( Mostly manufactured in mid 60's to mid 70's (GMU30=GT26CW Having EMD645) (HGMU30=GT26CW-2 with EMD645) I wanted to tag it GT26CW-2=Locomotive, but wrongly tagged it as prime mover, One thing more The exported locomotives to other countries by GM called GT26CW & GT26CW-2 but the same locos are working in the USA called SD40 & SD40-2 ( With Minor changes)
