Baleno is the better VFM. There are huge discounts available right now. Baleno Delta is currently around 7.9 lakhs on-road (delhi-ncr). The only negative is the build quality. But in city use I don't think there is any probability of a major accident. However, if the primary use is highway oriented I would suggest to get a car with better safety rating. I20 might be a balanced option with 3 star safety rating and 6 air bags standard from base variant. However, the engine performance is slightly non linear and is not performance oriented.

Ignis has 180mm ground clearance why then Baleno has 170mm ground clearance.

@@mr.anonymous7900 There are couple of issue. 1. Due to higher no of customers the service of Nexa is deteriorated it’s not like same what was in past. Only talking sweetly in front of you but totally useless, you need to escalate to GM level for small issues. The service Center mechanics are thief if you forget anything in the car they steal it. 2. The build quality is a joke although the door and all feels heavy if you compare to old Baleno but a minor collision will damage the vehicle severely. The Insurance if you buy from dealership than God saves you if any accident happens they will try to settle the claim in minimum no coordination between any department in the company. The good part is engine gearbox and performance you won’t feel that you are driving a manual even in 3 rd gear it can go so slow and then you can increase the speed no need to change gear..

Bhai getting Glanza G at more than 1 lakhs discount from the dealer and have also booked it, also the G variant of Glanza comes with dual tone alloys which Baleno's Zeta doesnt

neither, i will pick a used Ford Figo 1.5TDCi, a true pocket rocket and agile like crazy and spacious too.

The real problem is build quality as you mentioned, the quality of metal used is very flimsy and will definitely not save the passengers in case of a crash. Other than that marutis are great cars, very reliable and cheap to maintain but still won't advise anyone to buy one untill they start upgrading the build quality. I myself rejected baleno, grand vitara & brezza and went for nexon petrol. Fit & finish is poor & service sucks but i feel a sense of safety when I travel in it and boy the build is rock solid. Getting 18kmpl on highways too 🤗

Seeing the new Swift price better go for Baleno or i20 both are premium hatchback with better seating space and comfort, better 4 cylinder engine. Also both the dealerships are offering a discount of around 25-30k on these cars. Doesn't make any sense to buy Swift at 8-9 lakhs.
