Keith: high schoolers and college students ask us for advice because they still have hope. Older people don’t because they’ve realized the world is awful. Also Keith: I’m definitely an optimist

As a farmer, I would love to see a video of the try guys growing their own food, spend a day on a farm or something related to food security/soil health. It’s such an important topic and a lot of the videos are food focused, why not take it further to the farm!

You know where a lot of farms are? Idaho. And south west Idaho grows a lot for seed crops like sweet corn and hops and such because we have a pretty stable long growing season. But there's loads of stuff grown here

I'd watch every episode of "Keith visits every state". Extra cool if he visits the odd places and gives quick historical facts.
who are the people telling Rainie she can't overcook a potato, and that all siblings have the same IQ score?
I have no idea why but the Nissan sponsor breaks with Keith and Zach just narrating nature around them is just so soothing, and hilarious because it's an ad 😆

I continue to be absolutely blown away by Rainie's inquisitiveness and how she is an absolute treasure. I know everyone does them, but I'd love to see a Rainie on the Streets style vid/series
I think we as a society are not ready to admit how influential buzzfeed was to content creation. The influences are there, ever so subtle.
Keith and Zach naming all these reasons why they haven't gone skydiving, but Rachel says it's because they're scared of heights so the try moms did it 😅
As a special educator I have A LOT OF FEELINGS about IQ tests, “gifted programs,” and standardized tests and the history of racism and ableism connected to them. Keith you are brilliant regardless of your performance on that damn test!
@rosaliac.386
Жыл бұрын
As a former "gifted" kid, I wholeheartedly concur. The tests should be just used for fun, cuz lots of them are fun to take! When I'm nored I'll absolutely look up iq & personality tests to do for fun but I rarely take any of them seriously.
As a choir Director, I would love a try guys. Try teaching video. An elementary music class would be a great place for them.
I was so thrilled and tickled by the Idaho documentary that I was gonna write a whole comment about it but then Rainie just fucking t-boned me with her absolute potato insanity and I need to go consult a priest about this
Single parents is a community that is underserved when it comes to real relatable content.
Rainie, I'm totally with you. When my grandma used to make mashed potatoes for dinner, she would give me one slice of raw potato and I'd go sneak off and eat it like a little gremlin, taste kind of dirty in a way like mushrooms but it's good. Raw potato gang!

I disagree! Keith is a very smart man ! I can just tell by the way he thinks about stuff and answers questions. He have a very beautiful perspective to life and I love it ! I don’t think they used the right test when he was young not everyone the same !
i’m not kidding please make Keith Goes to Idaho
I had been avoiding the robot-skeleton video because the premise doesn't interest me, but I'm going to check it out now after this podcast. It might broaden my interests, expose me to ideas and technology that I otherwise don't engage with, and also support the times that you guys get to do "one for you".
I'm a little older than the guys but I love hearing about the Old Internet and stuff like Hamster Dance and how things were. I'd love a Keith Goes to Idaho film.
I would totaly love to watch the Keith goes to Idaho documentary!
The fact that they talked about baths without Miles even being there...
I love the energy and conversation that raine brings to the pod she's so bright! ❤
I think Rainie is dreaming about Poptropica’s 24 Carrot Island
I think the reason I like the Keith eats videos is because I can't eat anything he's eating. Certainly the identity there is celiac, but it's not like I'm looking for something relatable. not sure if I'm a masochist or just trying to live vicariously through him

Celiacs too and I’m like that when I’m out with friends- recently went for sushi and just gushed over how good their tempura sushi looked for a good 40 mins 😂
As always, i LOVE when you guys talk about your jobs/the industry
I agree with Rainie, snacking on a bit of raw potato when you're cooking is delicious! Add a bit of herb salt to it too, yum! And if you boil a potato for too long, it will desintegrate into a watery potato mush - best to avoid! Also, I just want to say that the Trypod has been really lovely lately, and Rainie is a great addition to the conversations! 😊
New listener here, this is exactly the kind of podcast I need in my life 👌 You guys are awesome. Also, raw potatoes are the best! A little bit of salt on a cubed potato is delicious. Try it next time you're making potatoes!!
My highschool started at 7:30am. If you had an 'early bird' PE class it would start at 6:10ish. You'd sometimes would have to take an early class depending on what extra stuff like band/choir/sport you did. Entirely too early but I did it a few of the years.
Fun fact: Spotify has the lyrics available for The Hamster Dance
For the standardized test in Texas, it was called STAAR. Our elementary school gave us snacks and played R Kelly’s “I believe I can fly” over the PA system to pump us up
Rainey! I'm with you on the raw potato! My dad found out I liked raw potato once when I was a kid. He took me sailing for the day and only brought a raw potato for me to eat -_-
As someone who went to Boise State for 4 years, there is almost nothing there... I kind of like the idea of you guys going for New Year's Eve because they have a potato drop instead of a ball. But if you talk to locals about potatoes they all get really defensive and mention that it's only their 3rd largest crop. They have some great skiing places and the snake river. And Boise specifically is pretty liberal They welcome notable refugee population and have a kind of random Anne Frank memorial. However, the state is too conservative in my opinion. There's a large mormon presence and as you get more north and rural the area becomes pretty scary and full or Preppers. They have a notable community of Native Americans which is pretty cool. My opinions of Idaho are very mixed.
When Zach said it's time to be real, I thought he was referring to Miles segment on his podcast 😂
Yet another Zach reaction that only Rainie could create at 54:21
as someone from Idaho I want to see the video but I also don't want Idaho exposed to more people 😅 but for real it's a beautiful place with some amazing people. check out the treasure valley or up north for the best views and experiences imo
I love these episodes where they talk shop. Zach getting technical and explaining everything 'for Rainie' in detail is great!
52:30 Come to Idaho Keith, finish the 50 states off!! I would specifically recommend North Idaho, it's so gorgeous here! We've got rivers and mountains and a couple beautiful tourist towns. If you ever decide to come our way I could give you specific recommendations for all the best places to go!! #Keithfest 🧡
There’s this channel that I absolutely love called Bored Teachers. They are current and forever teachers that post relatable and hilarious skits. They always make me laugh. I’m seeing some of them on tour in March and I can’t wait! 😊
“I remember cake farts…” how zach said that was so funny to me omg
It makes sense that Rainie thinks raw potato is good coming from an ingredient house.
God I remember the early internet, through middle school and early high school the shit my friends and I sent each other was just HORRIFIC lmao. Like BME Pain Olympics and 1 Guy 1 Jar. I just saw a meme about the latter the other day.
Already looking forward to hearing the synthesizer next week!
Rainie you’re not alone. Raw potatoes are my preference for potatoes ever since I was little so you’re definitely not alone 😂
On a more serious note, I think the guys should show what it’s like to practice a school/active shooter drill: going over broad lockdown processes, bulletproof backpack inserts, interviewing first responders/teachers/students, etc-people need to know how terrifying this concept is and how normalized it’s become.
Absolutely slam dunked by nostalgia hearing that hampster dance song lmao. Thanks for the earworm
keith calling try-moi "smut" in this climate is a bold word choice lol
Every time I make mashed potatoes, I always cut thin slices add seasoning and eat them. I've been doing this for forever! Rainey is not alone!!
The tub girl reference IMMEDIATELY threw me back to high school and MSN messenger.
I took that test in elementary school but it was the 90s so the pictures were of crazy aliens. Couldn't figure out what the hell they wanted, nothing in those pictures was normal. Ended up getting in gifted and talented later cuz I can read good. They should just do a straightforward test.
This was a good podcast. Very informative
For a long while, I was avoiding watching the podcast because I really miss the dynamic they used to have (Eugene in particular). When is changed (rightfully so) I didn't know if I'd enjoy the podcast as much anymore. Decided to watch this one on a whim and I'm glad I did because it reminded me how much I love the conversations between Keith and Zach. I'm glad I came back. I'll always remember when my sibling said they had a dream where they lived through the whole day of school before waking up and living through the full day of school
I eat a piece of potato every time I chop potatoes. Great crunch. You can overboil potatoes. They absorb water and if they're water logged and you try to make mashed potatoes you will end up with something resembling wall paper glue.
My mom used to take a little piece of raw potato and eat it, but only when we were camping and she was chopping them on the picnic table lol
