There ya go!!

Had to pickup one myself when I saw it on insta and was like folding seat knife. Micarta is the way to go! I like the bigger size but nice to se they made the compact for EDC

I added a kwik thumb stud to mine, careful to leave a small gap to avoid hitting the scales when opened; it is not a fashion statement, but it makes this an easy single hand use knife.

I normally carry a slip joint as a secondary carry, but I like this one so much I've been carrying it as my main carry a lot. Very good slicer, and I love that micarta. The extra blade length compared to most slip joints is a big plus too.

L o l, @@GearedTowardGear1. I'm not going to say publicly, just how many I ordered! : - ) But yes, this is a spectacular knife, with *crazy* value. Not many knives come by me anymore, that really trip my trigger this hard, and this fast. They seem to be fewer and farther between (thank goodness:) these days. It's always exciting, when it happen though! The last one to trip my trigger like this, was the PMP User knife. Which coincidentally, just happens to be a slip-joint as well. Which is not my norm, for sure. Thanks again, and Happy New year!

Steve Kluver - haha, well it’s definitely worth having a spare, you know...just in case. I felt the same way when I saw it, my eyes got wide and next thing I knew I had an order confirmation email. I’m hoping that the green, burgundy, and black Micarta versions that Real Steel showed on their Instagram are made available - I could easily see myself collecting the set. That PMP User looks excellent by the way, that’s a good buy. I’ve considered ordering one several times.

Oh how I hate I missed out on that one , i wanted it !!!

I quite like this one and the Luna slipjoint - ( my only complaint is the way that the fullers clip out the spine up near the tip. - it's like that on all of them)

The Real Steel Luna fits that bill with a blade length under 3”.

Excellent video buddy👍 I picked one of these up the other day, and after watching this, I’m really looking forward to getting it😁 It is such a stupid good deal at 39.95, I couldn’t pass it up. I’m looking forward to seeing how real steel treats their vg10, I’ve been pretty happy with their 14c28n in the past.

Such a stupid deal right!? This is my first VG10 knife from Real Steel so time will tell. I’m tempted to sharpen it like right now to see how it responds but the factory edge is so good, lol.

Beautiful knife mate, just a shame its over a 3 in blade for us across the shuck. Atb paddy 👍😃☘️

That's bigger than I realized. I've never encountered a 3/4 stop before, but I like it. I'd definitely love to pick one of these up someday, but I just bought a custom secondhand mammoth slipjoint and promised the wife I'd take a few months off...

Right off the back I like the grips with the checkering and the color of the material. The pocket clip looks okay but I'm usually wary of wire clips. However, if you trust it I'll put my faith in it. I absolutely love the price though, $40 is stupid cheap for a knife like this. That looks like a knife for a business man, something that'll do a job but puts on a show. It's not so flashy it's boasting, but just more than humble that it'd show. I wish it was a liner lock but that's my own bias. It's cool that it has that 3/4 stop, that increases my confidence in the system because I sometimes work my blades hard enough that that's a risk. I'm also partial to a thumb stud but I don't think that's necessarily look good on that blade. Thanks for the video Sean! See you in the next one!

Well I wouldn't be able to give the feedback if it wasn't for your great videos with awesome details. Just hearing about the fit and potential issues/ features theatre detected over time or by actual handling make for great input. I really like how well you review the knives and how you show details like the finish and checkering closely. Holding it up for a few seconds close to the camera really gives a good sense of the tool quality and doesn't leave me scrambling to pause it to catch a glimpse as it's flashed on the screen. I hope you keep up the good work and find a way that you're really happy doing these videos. I love the quality and hearing your opinions on this stuff. -Roman

Just ordered it...it's been in my cart for about 2 weeks. I sent back the Kizer Pinch because it a no stops and I thought it would cut me eventually. The value on this knife is awesome..quality looks to match the Kizer in fit and finish although not sure how to compare N690 to VG10 because I am no steel expert. This has a lanyard hole which I like to use on knives and the kicker for me is the micarta scales. Just a stupid question: can you dye micarta with Rit? For the exclusive price just awesome.....thanks for your review !

N690 & VG10 are very very close in chemical composition. If heat treated properly they should both perform about equally. They’re both solid mid-range steels. And yes, you can absolutely use RIT dye on Micarta. I haven’t done it personally but know many people who have. One thing to note is that the Micarta’s texture will smooth out quite a bit and darken with use. But yeah if you wanted to dye them red for example you could.

Dang very nice for a slip joint I don’t know how I feel about no lock tho 🤔 good secondary perhaps

Why is everyone so hung up on locks? For over 2000 years folders didn't have any kind of lock at all,my argument has always been,if you cut your fingers using a slip joint,? Then you're using it like an idiot

No kidding? That’s a bummer. I knew the price was supposed to go up to $60 but now it’s not even listed on the site at all. Only the G10 versions are there. Weird.

Interesting... $60 on Blade HQ for regular scales. Between $40-48 on KnifeCenter for Micarta and other scales.

Right? KnifeCenter has all of the models on sale (and of course this exclusive for $39.95). I think the prices will go up on KnifeCenter before long and align with other retailers but they must have some deal going on with the manufacturer I would guess. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Really nice knife, but I'm starting to dislike Real Steel more with each new release. Many of their nicest knives recently are exclusives only. This, CF Luna, CF or G10 Metamorph, moonglow or copper CF Thor, upgraded Precision from Massdrop. RS used to be one of my favourite knife brands, but now it feels like the company forgot about us little guys from poor countries once they got market recognition in the USA.

Sorry to hear this. Exclusives, what can we say, they are knives that were never supposed to be apart of our original line up, and are ideas that were brought to us by dealers - so its a tough one. To be fair we also don't think Real Steel is that big in the U.S, but we have been working with some U.S dealers big and small as they are the ones who want to see exclusives or custom models should we say. However, we do see your point 100% and more exclusive type knives should be a part of our line up in the future, as to offer everyone the chance to get their hands on one.

This version is, yes. Tried my best to get the video out a week or so before that happened. There are some G10 options available but I spoke with Real Steel and they told me that more Micarta options will be coming (most likely green, burgundy, and black canvas Micarta). 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Slip joints are coming back because locking knives are becoming illegal everywhere
