Today I played DayZ 1,12 but it was an unscripted DayZ adventure with TheRunningManZ and JLK (friends of Kyro). Unlike where I kept killing TheRunningManZ... this time Shroud DayZ was here! It had the best loot and I had a lot of loot but he didn't but it was still really fun! I love running the BIGGEST EVER CARTEL and DRUG CARTEL in DayZ on the New Map and funny POG CHAMP!!!!
Not FrankieOnPC1080p, but DayZ Unscripted Adventure or DayZ Standalone, A DayZ Movie, or any other but challenge like that. This is a speed run / speed runner of DayZ against a killer / bandit but it is me and my good friends playing the NEW HARDEST DAYZ MOD EVER!!! POG CHAMP!!!

Finally! Someone who actually uses real life tactics in Dayz instead of just running around. I'm also currently a Soldier but in the US and I've been using some of the tactics I learned such as room clearing, patrolling techniques, terrain identification, fire superiority, hand signals etc. I appreciate these tips, especially coming from a real Sniper. Cheers from across the pond 🍻

even more easy to spot an backpack, if you wanna go stealth, remove backpack. run low ammo and have space for food and drink, make your shots count, every single shot should be range finded by the mili dots in scope, or with range finder, and every kill should be max 1 bullet. be safe

Playing Dayz as a dedicated sniper (with no actual military training or background), I love this video. I've tried to do some reading an employ a lot of the decision making here, and have done so in the past to great effect. One of the most amazing things I have yet to master? Patience and focus together in the huge sums that is required to do that job properly. You have my respect & a new subscriber! P.s Please do more Dayz.

I have over 1’000 hours playing as a covert sniper roll. I play in a 20 man group and I usually scout out enemy bases and set traps. My entire job for my group is to track and locate enemy positions. Now I don’t take the game seriously as it is a game however the way I play I’ve had a character alive for 300 hours. The best way to play is to be disciplined enough to know which shots to take and what to walk away from.

I wanted to go to sniper school but when I could hit every target on range except over 300 meters, I found out I was near sighted and not quite so patient, i did not qualify. With the current climax of the 911 disaster at the time, and onky being aged 16.. I'm gutted I turned towards other things and didn't go for it... just alike many other intensive careers, courses and/or hobbies.. I have lived my life don't get me wrong!!! But this and a few other things I feel truly gutted I never enlisted... Hat off to you old bean 🎩😉

I have no military training and am not as experienced in mil-shooters, so I found it suprising that I used some tactics from here myself as I found it logical. Shooting from behind dense tree terrain and not moving in open and bulged out spaces is a must for me. There are of course cases where it's unavoidable, and on more than one occasion it worked otherwise, but more often than not those tactics are lifesavers

One thing I think you should have covered is the 2 shot rule. For those who don't know what I mean, the idea is rather straightforward and self explanatory. Never fire more that 2 shots from a single position if you can help it. If you can't, employing the loophole tactic is paramount in survivability in combat. 1 shot, they know you're there but don't know where as generally the human brain is incapable of deciphering the origin point of a sound if it only happens once and it is quick (like a gunshot) but the 2nd shot gives enemies a very general direction of your location. More shots than this, and you risk giving the enemy your location and giving them the ability to move to appropriate cover or worse, them being able to locate you and shoot back. If you make a habit to move regularly in woodland or really any open area type engagements, you stand a much greater chance of survival and victory during a fight. But one thing that you have to remember is (in DAYZ at least) that foliage renders based on distance; Especially on console or lower performance PCs. A good rule of thumb on DAYZ is to stick to the wooded areas when engaging targets. Your ghillie suit may from your perspective blend perfectly with the terrain, but it loses its effectiveness as the distance increases. You could look like you would never be seen laying in an open field, but if the distance is great enough, than enemies could pick you out easily as you look like a very visible dot. On the urban side of things, your primary focus when engaging targets is using the loophole tactic and avoiding rooftops as much as possible, as even laying down, while a smaller target, risks skylining. Lastly, in terms of the loophole tactic, there's another piece of that tactic that you should ALWAYS consider when engaging targets in urban areas. It's called (by my memory at least) "deep back fire". Deep back fire is just another form of loophole shooting, but in cases where there are no small apertures to shoot through, it's imperative to keep yourself as deep in a room as you can while still being able to see and hit your target. Don't stick your rifle out a window, that's easy pickings for counter snipers. I have a lot more, but these things are what's most relevant in DAYZ.

Also a good tip is to change position after each shot taken. While the position you found may be concealed at first, the shine of your scope, the flash of the gun when shooting or simply the sound of fire may give out your position, and even if it just gives out direction, it's best to give your enemy no idea where you're coming from, because once you're spotted it is much harder to hide again.

Something that really works in DayZ, mostly for first person only servers (albeit it might not be doable in real life, especially with Ghillie), are guerilla tactics. I generally think about 3+ firing positions on a target I'm after, so after I take some shots I'll just retreat and flank wide to another firing position, using terrain / obstacles to conceal my movement.

Oh man, Im so happy to say I do the last tip almost everytime, and I didnt know its a tip they teach in sniping school. I always thought to myself that is better to not beinf in the edge like an 1d*ot, but hiding even deeper, while you still have the same line of sight! Even in movies snipers set themselves in windows and they stick thsir snipers out. I always thought, they should just stay back and shoot from the darkness of the room.

When I was a kid there was a local drugs gang - really a group of soccer casuals who did drugs on the side, and they had it in for me. They would attack me on sight. So I learnt how to get from A to B without being seen. Memorised every back alley way across town. I had a 3 second rule. I wouldn't walk down a street unless I could escape it within 3 seconds cause that's how long you had if you were spotted. I planned my escape rout down every street I walked down for over 10 years. This paid dividends once when I was with a friend. He ended up as an unconscious body on a railway track and I ran free. Had had a fractured scull. I didn't have a scratch.

No military training my self. However 1000’s of hours on arma 2 dayz mod had pretty much taught my self this stuff. The last tip was probably one I knew about but didn’t really implement and was careless with .

Do not think it was covered, by its also essential to note how the human eye works. Spotting movement is *always* easier while perfectly still. We developed spotting movement this way. Also , due to much larger, deadlier foe, we learned to spot unnatural shapes, ie an object which does not fit the natural environment.

Well, the thing I noticed in Dayz is that at long distances the grass doesn't render in, so basically any sniper can see you. Anything on that besides staying the tree cover?

I know this is a ten month old video but please do a command fire segment with a group of snipers. I’ve been looking for a real sniper playing this game so I’m hoping you will do it. One of my favorite drills to do with one or more targets.
