I've got a M235i and it's been the cheapest performance car I've ever had, only thing to go wrong was a fuel injector, I have it serviced at a local bmw specialist and that is also very reasonable, I'm now looking at a face-lift C43 coupe and I'm expecting it to empty my pockets more. Enjoy your M240i the B58 is a masterpiece.

Do all 2019 c43 amg have Apple car play as default?

im thinking getting one of these or a 2017 cla45 or an Mitsu evo 8MR dont know which one to chose.

Would you mind to share average mpg (l/100km) long term? Your calculations were kinda uncommon and highly dependent on actual fuel cost. I am thinking about buying one of these, but friend is discouraging me as it could be maintenance nightmare. Any thoughts about this? Are you aware of any known major issues with engine, transmission or four wheel drive system for c43?

I do believe your road tax should drop within the upcoming years if you keep the car that long as I believe after 5 years you no longer have to pay the £355 extra for having a car worth over 40k. Also thanks for the insights, I’m not looking at an AMG but I’m looking at the C300 facelift however I want a very specific spec and am 21 so fairly young when it comes to insurance. Ideally I’ll just wait a couple years and hopefully prices come down to something more reasonable.
