I thought this was my post when I saw this. The 2 best wing defenders in the league MJ & Pippen could not guard Penny. He would blow right by Pippen & was even slightly taller than him. & he was taking MJ off the dribble or posting the visibly shorter MJ up. Anfernee Hardaway was hard AF. He was my favorite player from the time he got in the league. Then he got hurt. I didn’t have another clear cut favorite until Derek Rose. Then he got hurt. & I’m not from Memphis either. They both played at Memphis but I never watched them play in college. I’m an L.A. dude.

@@mr.kopdabest1572 Yeah LeBron came in the league like LeBron and he's actually what Grant Hill was a big athletic point forward Penny was only a point guard pass first shoot second guard and if you look at him,Bron and G.hill they're games were similar but Penny was no where close to their weight range he was skinny like Reggie Miller he had more moves than both of those guys and a better postup game he was more finesse as Hill and Bron were brute force there isn't a player you can compare him to but maybe T-Mac who was an offensive thin shooting guard Penny was more like Magic than any of them he was just freakishly athletic with a arsenal of moves to score when he needed too he was a bad dude.

@@siircartiier Exactly I keep telling people Bron plays more like Scottie and G.hill,Penny was more like Magic but had the skillset of Mj whenever he wanted to score he could on any defender and it was a thing of beauty when he did take over games all these guys were special but Penny before injuries were special special.

@@davidmoss2576 I get what you're saying. As the full package I still day Penny. He had a better post game and passing game than all of those guys. His handles might not be AS good, but not far off. He was good from 3 and a good defender and a 6'7 point guard. I'd take him over all of those guys except Jordan. Just because he was a competitive psychopath.

Penny was nice, don't get me wrong during the early 90's I was rooting for them to take out the Bulls, but even if he played out his career healthy I don't see him with more than one or two chips. If healthy I would comp him with a Paul Peirce type of career.

And what does Penny being better than Kyrie have to do with anything bro I said Penny at his peak at minimum is top 20 all time but I say top 15.
