That was awesome Brudda. I loved how you talked us through you process. It is going to help me immensely as I start flying in Squad. I have flown some but need more practice. Tip for you, go into your key binds and set load and unload for build and construction either to extra buttons on your mouse or somewhere that your left hand can easily reach during flight such as 1-4 in order to make the offloading process much easier. This is especially important because while you are in your vehicle menu, you cannot control your helicopter and the controls are locked in the place they were when you opened the vehicle menu.

Try radio controller for rc model plane and helicopter, those with usb connection also work in this game.

there is an option to to keybind the loading and unloading the supplies its much better then showing the UI to unload because you will have control while unloading.

Your gameplay is so realistic ! Not like the j hook but its the meta for landing so …..

Dam your good bro, this game for me personally just seems more realistic then other games (former marine here) , do you still play this or any other fps games? whats your take on realism with this game, the sound is on point, altho it could do with bit more immersion .. I think in UNREAL ENGINE 5, your gona have to manually load the helicopters with the actual supplies.. now that is gona be nuts !

Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the video. I still ply a decent amount of squad but mostly Arma 3. If you think this is realistic check out my Arma content. UE is a great engine I’m pumped to see what they have in store for us in the future.

I can guarantee you have gotten this tip before but if you want to progress further you really need to practice flying fast, low and the when landing j-hooks. That is mandatory. I recently started flying so I am not to good but I know the basics such as flying 100 knots around 5-20 feet over land and basic j-hooks

I notice only in Squad so many rotary seem to think of J as golden. More? I so rarely see heavy use of Flare. Slam the brakes, no? *--Dawks **_[PIR]_* p.s. insert/extract is my #1 in A3. _(Rooftop landings are sporty/harsh; swivel to present LittleBird's gut plates, HUA?)_ *A/G* _was always good fun._ Covered that sometime too? ^5

Just thinking about map reading ... at 7:18 and around. I've been reading Gen. Oliviero's "Praxis Tacticum" (2021) and how he reminds even senior leaders that _"Tactic / Operations / Strategy"_ is primitive and insufficient. Is why I went grunt: from the ground up ... cuz I loath hot-shots (and heh almost never trust officers) ... and what I saw just now? no task / mission ... which, to this dumb pongo means no coordination/collaboration. Why so long-winded? is why I have up on MilSim gaming ... after so very many years. ^5

Also, does it bother you when people don't immediately go prone when you drop them off? I know that's a big deal irl.

I set my map to MB4 so I can pull it up easy without taking my hands off keyboard/mouse or HOTAS if I am flying

I do for most games, I think it’s more practical to learn how to get proficient with mouse and keyboard. The only game I use my kit for is DCS.

Your mistake is that you are flying away from the attacking enemy in a straight line. Kinda not the best way to survive.

How are you supposed to get out ? Increase altitude? Because zigzaging isn't really an option
