This defeat hurts so bad to this day if we won this game I believe we could have won the UCL again that year just shows you how good tuchel was as a coach and Todd bohley made a horrific mistake sacking him

The feeling when we saw Timo scores the 3rd ... brings a lot of things to mind - the Lukaku interview, sanctions, Tuchel saying that he'd drive a seven seater if needed, difficult season with a lot of injuries, but for those 5 mins, we were on top of the world. If only...

I miss Werner so much. He loved the club and gave 100% every match.

Just by this performance, you could see how much Tuchel got out of this squad. Yes, they didn't win the tie, and yes, many intelligient players left or don't start anymore like Rudiger, Christiansen, Alonso, Werner, Mount, and RLC, but they played so hard under Tuchel and knew their roles wherever the ball was. Now it just seems we have eleven individuals, but I hope they develop chemistry fast during the summer, because for guys like Thiago Silva, they don't deserve to end their careers like this. And of course, we all miss Roman, Marina, and Petr Cech, because they did so much for the club we love.

Some chelsea fans have the AUDACITY to say Werner was a problem when he ran his socks off and gave everything for us when he was on the pitch.

Then Sterling is MVP too? Running alone isn't going to cut it if you're brought in as a pure striker. There were barely any goals. Yes, i know you will obviously point out he scored in this game. But fans disliked his performance overall in all competitions. Both Werner and Sterling failed miserably, why they keep clinging on Sterling i have no idea. But don't try this "he gave it all" There was nothing in him to give. And for that pricetag and his wages, his performance was one of the worst in the history of Chelsea.

Alonso's goal was not handball disgraceful from the ref.

This match was unforgettable. It was the definition of Chelsea. That spirit, that fire to win! TT got the players together, playing together even though we didn’t play well come the final part of the season. But we turned up that night. This was the game where “the boys gave everything”. This is the team and it’s all gone a year later. I’m so guttered.

I really miss this highly spirited Chelsea team

Sounds a bit in hindsight but this was our best performance last season. When we had literally everything against us, we Faught back. The result was disappointing but the determination was really something. Hopefully we show the same determination against them again.

People seem to forget we actually won the game in Madrid, unfortunately lost the tie due to our performance at home in the 1st leg. Obviously we're underdogs going into tomorrow and rightly so with our form. But I don't know why, I'm actually feeling confident we'll get a result tomorrow. Cmon Chelsea!
