Ronaldo missed a face to face vs. Abbiati, not his best match. Raúl was the MVP of this match with his two goals (including the second masterpiece). Surprisingly, amazing players like Rivaldo, Zidane and Figo had a poor game.

Ronaldo, Figo, Roberto Carlos, Raul, Zidane, Makelele, Casillas, Rivaldo, Shevchenko, Seedorf, Maldini, Costacurta…. God, I miss this era. The players were unbelievably good.

This game was a dead rubber for us as we had already secured qualification. The match in San siro which was won through a wonderful Rui costa through ball, and Sheva finish was probably the defining moment in making us believe we could win the champions league that season. That season, the champions league deployed the format of 2 consecutive group stages and then teams would proceed to the knockout rounds. Across the 12 group stage matches, Milan beat Bayern Munich, Deportivo La coruna, Real Madrid, and B.Dortmund in all of the games that were critical to qualification. And then proceed to beat both Ajax and Inter without losing a tie, and then Juventus on penalties without conceding a goal and effectively down to ten men in extra time due to roque junior being injured. SIXTEEN matches played just to reach the final. A truly monumental achievement, and one of the happiest football seasons of my entire life. The most memorable moment being Inzaghi's lob over the Ajax goalkeeper and Tomasson tapping it in on the line to make it 3-2 very late in the game in san siro. To this day, the emotions and atmosphere inside the stadium experienced as a 19 year old is almost impossible to describe ⚫🔴

Milan only had three true galácticos in 2003: Rivaldo, Maldini and Nesta. And Rivaldo was already declining, as he didn't even play the final and stopped being called by Brazil during that time. The rest of the MIlan squad was composed of excellent players, but not geunine galácticos or all-time greats: Schecsenko, Rui Costa, Seedorf, Abbiati, etc.

غيابات ماذا؟؟ اهم عناصر الميلان كانت موجودة وخاصة خط الهجوم شفشينكو وريفالدو بالإضافة إلى ثلاثي دفاع الميلان مالديني ونيستا وكوستاكورتا وفي الوسط يوجد ريدوندو وسيدورف لاعبي ريال مدريد سابقا ولم يؤثر غياب غاتوسو بالإضافة إلى الحارس ابياتي وغياب ديدا لم يكن مؤثر لان الميلان تأهل على الانتر بوجود ابياتي. وبالمقابل ريال مدريد في هذه المباراة كانت عنده غيابات كثيره ومنها مهاجمه القناص موريانتس ومدافعه فرناندو هييرو وجناحه المتألق مكمانمان بالإضافة إلى أن روبرتو كارلوس كان راجع من إصابة. يعني بالمختصر غيابات ريال مدريد كانت مؤثرة اكثر من غيابات ميلان وهزم الميلان عن جدارة

Good times, i miss those days, BUT, football nowadays is far better and with more talented players, I will say one thing to the young people, watch a complete game of the 90's and 2000's and then, watch a game of nowadays football, you will see that the difference is big ! The game in the 90's was full of wrong passes, missed dribles and useless sprints.

what a load of bull. back in the day you used to have 25 to 30 world class players today there is only 5 or 6 class players the rest aint worth bob and are more interested in them selves than the once great beautiful game
