@@jessolandria When you see beautiful nature, you don't see the whole picture over extended period of time. In this particular video, for example, there is a river. If your family lives by the river, there is a risk for your child to accidentally drown in that river. That risk is permanent for 10-15 years if you're having 2-3 kids. Anyway, everything has a flip side. Take care!

It's all about people's mentality. In India we throw plastics everywhere , spit everywhere because we think " everyone's doing it , why not me " After visiting Beijing , China. I realised how clean and disciplined they are. In India we are only interested in building temples and Hindu Muslim conflicts.

Not really. Some places, yes, but not everywhere. We got a lot of monocultures and most of our forests are about as natural as the faces of Hollywood actresses... I've seen many historic houses left to rot, especially timber frame houses hurt my heart, as they are at times 500 years old, and you can see that they had been taken care of until the last few decades...

Europe also has not one monolithic culture, as there are huge differences between the West and East and North and South. However, Pretty much all of us used to share some basic values and a core identity. @John Smith Belgium, Switzerland... However, from what I can tell only Switzerland is a success-story. The others have ongoing rivalries, at times full out civil war. I have to think of the IRA, ETA, the Kossovo-conflict... Don't idealize something that was never as simple as you want it to be. No matter how many generations I go back, life was sh!t more often than not...

i live there. it's basicly a poor mans living area historicly. prussian monarchs banned slavic tribes into that area to cultivate it. no potato would grow there so it wasnt seen as good ground to live on. and still today working conditions around the spreewald are one of the poorest and lowest payed. atm this area is surrounded by coalmining and cultivated coal mines were they take the spree's (rivers) water to fill the holes and create a connected lake system. this leaves the river pretty dried up. looks good for tourists but is actually endagered by politics and nothing like a fairytale at all.

I wanna live in this place.such a gorgeous and peaceful place.

It's paradise, truly, it is. When you are in the two hour boat ride and sail on these canals, you are transported to a different world. Beauty of nature is mesmerizing and if you are a believer, you just can't stop praising God for his creation. We visited Berlin in June/July 2023 and we visited this place twice! When I get my next chance to visit Berlin, I for sure, will visit again.

Such a beautiful place. Lovely waterway, greenery can really relax and enjoy them all.

I'm into fairytale towns in Europe. Only been to Colmar. This one in Germany is a hidden gem. I personally like this because it's green all around 😍

The Spreewald is a really beautiful place, a few years ago I canoed through the little canals with my family and it was amazing! ^^

It is also a wonderful place for cycling! Usually, we spend some days there in September/October when it is even more quiet. And with the fog sometimes chilling.
