I'm a Filipino. And Whenever I'm alone, I can speak English straight and with like american accent fluently. But whenever there's other people, I always thought I had to speak it with a Filipino accent coz I don't want them to think I'm trying hard to sound/speak with american accent. It's difficult here in Philippines coz everyone around is judgemental and I'm not very proud about it being a Filipino (not every filipino is judgemental tho but mostly) and it makes me laugh every time I realize this thing. Haha

Jen was reserved, so she didn’t show up at the gathering. He’s been my ride or die since we moved in together. A self-assured person usually handles criticism in a calm way.

As an ESL students here in America, it’s just so hard to understand everything people are talking about, so this really helps a lot. Thank you so much. There were quite a few times when I was in group convos and people bursted into laughters at some points but I hardly got the point and all I could do was pretend that I understood.
