Tommy was that lad in school who had adhd but refused his meds and let his wonderfulness spill out into the class.. always in trouble but the one that made us laugh!
What Tommy might or not know is we are able to watch a master make us laugh in such a dark time. It's a gift Tommy and thank you so many times.
First time I saw Tommy was on a bootleg video of him appearing at a stand-up show for Amnesty International - he told a story about filming for the BBC in London and taking his mate for a jolly - still the funniest thing I've ever heard.
Tommy reminds me of half of my relatives. That dark humor is passed down in the genes.

Yeah it is, I'm genetically Irish.... My adoptive family thinks I'm weird, mean, and depressed when really I'm a laugh riot in the right part of the world. Maybe I should move to Ireland.

I feel like Tommy used to be one of those raving lunatics that you see on the streets of New York and someone gave him magic drugs and you can just barely make sense of him. You can't help but laugh though because his stories are off the hook.
