Oh yeah, he made a couple of appearances on the RGB show and in IDW's comics too. I don't know how, but of all the beasts which the 'Busters have faced, Bug-Eye somehow became oddly memorable.

Holy hell! This video caused a complete and unexpected amount of “I remember that!” on a deeper level than I could ever explain…

Man, not only do I remember most of these commercials, I actually had quite a few of the action figures, in particular the humans that turn into ghosts/monsters. Those were some awesome toys back in the day. I really wish I still had those toys.

FUN FACT: If you're an 80's kid you should recognize the kid at 11:09. That's Robert Olivery, who played the youngest Szalinski kid (Nick) in the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" films.

Can't believe it but yeah, it's true. I've the second Ecto-1 (the one similar to the second movie) but never seen that one with lights and sounds before. Also the proton pack that squirt water was exclusively from here 😱

I wonder if anyone actually won that ECTO-1A contest.

This statue of liberty would be an awesome playset but it shows greatly on this commercial that it wasn't because not showing any play features except standing there,with the exception of the head to put your figures! It might be there as an idea for releasing,it but scrapped the concept in the end because of their budget & all i believe have them using it only in the commercial as a tease for us!

Wow, I remember when figures were $4.99, I was looking at gifts for my nephew this year and almost shit my pants how much toys cost now.

Love the nostalgic trip but this is stirring up too many bad memories of my father - after my mom left him when I was a kid he sold all of my Ghosbusters toys to get back at her since she bought most of them for me.

Under the toilet lid of Fearsome Flush is poo splatter, haha! I can't believe they actually put that on a toy. It's supposed to look like a nose, but it's definitely poo splatter shaped like a nose.

I'm 38 and my mom bought a lot of these for me when I was a kid, but my father sold them in a yard sale to get back at her when she left him. It's been over 30 years and I'm still a little salty about it.

Hasbro just released the original line...I got all four in the package...I paid 100 bucks for the 4

Yes, that's correct but there are 6 figures total so far. Don't forget there is Stay Puft and Green Ghost (Slimer). That's a bummer that you had to pay a higher price. I paid $14.97 each for mine. I managed to get two full sets by using brickseek to check the inventory of all of the local Walmarts. Anyone else that's reading this and having trouble finding the figures, I want to say this. Please, don't resort to rotten resellers just yet. While the figures are selling out and hard to find, Hasbro are trying to replenish and restock them. If you really want these, then you've also got to be on top of it. Check brickseek or call your Walmart daily then make the effort to go out to find them. Also, they keep occasionally popping up for sale on the Walmart site. @hugo562, I love the Barbarian Brothers profile picture, lol.

@@910dohead I was lucky to have found all 4 Ghostbusters at Walmart the other day. There were even two sets of them. I was only looking for the ghost trap with pedal that the Walmart website said was available locally. It never mentioned the action figures being in stock because their website is notoriously unreliable. I got lucky and bought all of them, the trap and even the PKE meter too. The girl at the register gave me all sorts of weird glances.

It's a prototype. None of the ones released for sale have a red string. They are all a yellowish green.

Ha, you included the Funimation Ghost Busters, which was a different franchise from the Bill Murray movies and related Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. They just shared a similar name and premise. I think Columbia Pictures had to pay royalties to Funimation to use the Ghostbusters name because the Funimation property came out first.
