I think the master caution you got at 3:40 of the video was not a enemy missile, was because you dumped your external tanks but didn't change the store configs from CAT I to CAT III. The last update this enable this.

Define irony, have a channel dedicated at least a tiny bit to dcs then running War Thunder ads

Are you using opentrack for the tracking? Your Y axis keeps jumping, you can disable it in opentrack Options, in the Output tab, select source of Y to disabled. You can alternatively apply some curvature to it under Mapping.

I am curious as to why you did not have the HMD (Helmet Mounted Display) on for the F-16, it's by-far one of the most useful items it has. Did the version of the F-16 we sent o Ukraine Not come with the HMD? or did you just not have it on for this video? Curious to know your answer, especially if the Export F-16's don't have it or something? or at least not for Ukraine?

F-16 for ukraine is MLU version from europe. inferior radar of the older version of AMMRAM. In the simulation, he is flying the Block 70 version

@@helminsen As part of the MLU upgrade, there was no helmet sight for the F-16, all F-16s from Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Norway were Block 10 and block 15 versions with the MLU upgrade, 25 years ago, Belgium will not give a single machine with the justification that the machines are not already suitable for flight operations. They didn't even go through the modernization to all M6 Tape and M7 levels, most of them stayed with the M5 because the subsequent updates were uneconomic due to the decommissioning of the machines and the replacement of the F-35.

You got the caution because you were in CAT III and needed to go to CAT I

@@martales8563 keep in mind, hes an f15 pilot trying to fly a sim, just because he is good in dogfighting in one plane does not mean hes good in another. also, this is a sim, not real life, so he needs to get used to everything

when will we see you fly against Growling Sidewinder, he did one against a Rafale Pilot he didn't do too bad. But like I told him it's not the plane it's the pilot.

I used to do Uber Eats on a bicycle in Manhattan. Having a bus speed by me at 30 MPH only 3 inches away from my fleshy human body... I feel a kinship with anybody who's had a sidewinder missile flying a few feet from a cockpit. 🤣 Inches from death.

@@williamjefferson3599 We sure had a similar career. I worked F-16s at Hahn, then Spangdahlem, with a side of F-4Gs that first year (plus some Egyptian F-4E work thrown in) until they got retired. After Spang I went to Tyndall to work F-15s.

i belive you could adjust your headtracking to give you more virtual range of motion and not have to tilt your head too much

People are complaining about the new update making AMRAAM too aggressive but hey that baby costs a million each, radar had better be awesome

You should review Longshot's DCS video called the wall. And comment on it.

I know it's against rules of war to shoot a pilot that has ejected, but what kind of punishment does the pilot face from their command?

But you should compare the version that the UA army will get and not the latest block 72. The European f-16s that will go to Ukraine are MLU versions, old radar, older types of ammram, etc. Russia will deploy SU-30 and SU-35 MIG-31M armed against them R-37M and R-77M, these missiles have already been used several times in Ukraine and shot down SU-27 deep in Ukrainian territory.

And there is not a single instance of WVR combat in this war so far apart from DCS videos that were construed as being real life and then believed by morons and turned into the Ghost Of Kyiv fantasy which Ukraine have since admitted was a morale boosting exercise.

I saw a video on the new high range air to air missile that Russian fighter jets will be carrying that has a longer range than the Aim-9 (or whatever they'll be carrying. I was in the USAF but not a pilot). Do you think that'll make a difference? Or, is Russia all bark and no bite, as usual?
