@@windflower5226 I had mine at about 1 year of age - I looked to be about the same age as this boy - not sure they said his age. I know I was a wobbly looking baby from photos just beginning to attempt walking while holding onto things. This is way back in time and in Canada. We were lucky to be in Toronto and be able to have the operation at Toronto general hospital. She said it was a very rare surgery at the time and had I been in the UK I might have been out of luck 1965. They used a different method also they cut from the front of my head where the hairline starts all the way to the back. I actually ended up with another scar nearly as long as the surgeon left bone in that he shouldn't have. Then one more time about 8 inches due to infection. Lucky I can't remember it! I had a lot of lumps and bumps on my head and odd to feel. Looks of course normal with hair. I have thick hair.

The little girl with seizures has exactly the same kind I had at her age. I got tested for epilepsy but it came back negative. I was later diagnosed with sjogren's syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease that's effects all your moisture producing glands. I hope that little girl is able to get treatment and get to feeling better from whatever it is she has.

My eldest daughter had asymmetry of the skull that I began to notice when she was about five months old. By one year old I had her with me at my own Dr. appt. and he asked if I had ever noticed anything about her skull. I immediately said yes and from there I soon met with a neurosurgeon and she had surgery to rearrange skull bones that had fused too early and to bring her cheek bones forward a bit. Today she is 34, a mother of 3 ( 2 of her kids were delivered by the doctor who delivered her ) and a University grad. As for the scar where they had to cut her open from ear to ear? She tells anyone who asks..."I was too smart so.they had to take some of my brain out" lol. She went through so much with that surgery but I will forever be grateful to the Plastic and Neurosurgeon, Anesthesiologist and nurses who took such amazing care of our first born. 💖

That's normal procedure. One parents gets to stay until the child is put under anesthetic. Depending on the hospital they're either put under in a separate room and then are wheeled in, at which point the parent leaves, or they're put under in the operating room itself, in which case the parent gets suited up and gets to go in with them.
