Investors and speculators took all the homes and propped up the values along with realtors (most are realtors and mortgage brokers) and now they are crying about the end result of how they have destroyed the Canadian Housing Market by virtue of greed. Extra income by living off the poor and suppressing them to never having the opportunity to own their own home someday should be an embarrassment, not an opportunity to cry a river.

Absolutely no sympathy for the landlords bleating and crying about how they’re gonna be taxed 9% more. Jeez Louise you didn’t WORK for a capital gain BY DEFINITION!!!

Home buyers hold all the leverage now. If you decline a reasonable offer, you will likely have to accept a lower price after waiting another two months. This shift signifies the return of a buyer's market, unequivocally. The traditional measure of months of inventory versus sales, typically indicating a buyer's market at over 4%, is outdated for today's real estate market in GTA Ontario and its surroundings. This classification system of seller's, balanced, and buyer's market needs an urgent update. I have clients and doing daily business in over 30 cities in Ontario. I know very well what I am saying.Currently I am selling in Kitchener, 2xToronto and Lindsay Kawartha Lakes and bought in Hamilton in Toronto. Multiple clients selling and buying coming up. No inventing. Real facts. Real experience.

That guy he brought is speaking as if he's poor. That guy is loaded and he's crying cause he has to pay a bit more for capital gains tax. They didn't work half as much as their tenants who made them rich.
