@vidaa82 Actually 6 mile is McNichols and 5 mile is Fenkell. We figure we lived at 1st mile which is W. Chicago. 7 Mile on out is just that. A mile Rd.

It's my home. I love 7 mile, Grand River, The Pistons, Coney Island, What up doe, The Lions, Tigers, Downtown, Greektown, East Jefferson, Chene Park, Hart Plaza, Southern Fire restaurant, Cobo Hall, my friends and family are here, it's where I was born and raised, Motor city soul food, the LCA, the toughness, the reputation, 6 mile, Fenkell, Woodward, Midtown....so much more! I love my city!!!

Detroit has held it together in the face of all THE hate we get. So it is Detroit vs Everybody!
Never thought Detroit was against Cleveland in my day! Sports, cities, people, Michigan State VS Ohio State Buckeyes! Love them both, I buy American Cars made in Ohio, Michigan, Canada. We have supported each other all my life! Continue to support my family of UAW workers!

That's great to hear, it definitely would be a good decision for you, Detroit is going to have a lot of growth, and being in the city is where you'll want to be years from now.

I am a Cass Tech graduate!!! The winters are long and brutal, and how I remember standing in the cold waiting for the bus to get to school. So many memories of Detroit in its hay day!!!!

Having to relocate to Detroit from Dallas, TX due to work. Looking for an apartment and these videos definitely making my nerves ease a bit.
Detroit Library, all museums and historical stuff, BELLE ISLE!! Lived there as a kid, inherited the family farm, west MI rural, my my I miss a big city. Covid's shut down so much, but like lots of others I"m starting to think "oh well" and do stuff anyhow. What I need is senior housing. I'm 69 and well, mentally declining. I need to settle for my last decades. No kids to help me out.

I had Buddy's when I visited with a group of people. Several of us walked away saying it was the best we've ever had.

Sad how much crime is there I had an African American real estate agent that advised me to look in the suburbs not inner city Detroit. When you have locals saying that how is Detroit ever going to improve?

The price points are higher in the suburbs they may have been serving their own interests not yours… many times the locals are our own worst critics, as they look beyond their past biases.
