⬆️ comment above is high inaccurate, but that’s irrelevant, anyways they are 100% real carbon fiber that being said the quality of the carbon may not be the best however it is still real carbon fiber one way to tell real from fake is to use a good LED flashlight and look close for almost a color shift appearance the easiest way, is if you can look on the backside of the carbon piece or panel and see if the weave pattern is easily shown and if you can feel the weave it’s real without a doubt, you learn a lot when you specialize GM carbon manufacturing.

How is the fact that it adds extra weight inaccurate? Or that vinyl would weigh less? Both are fully accurate statements sir. I never said they looked bad.

@@muffinmanwolfe1737 I’m not saying you’re entirely wrong, yes both would technically add weight so you are correct there but just by looking, these don’t seem to even be much thicker than vinyl if so not by but a few thousandths the point is carbon fiber is EXTREMELY light something like those mirror caps can weigh as little as a single sheet of paper. If made properly of course

So you put a carbon fiber cover on your mirrors making the car heavier. Which is kind of the point of carbon fiber. At this point why don't you just do a wrap? It would weigh less than the carbon fiber covers.

These weigh 2 ounces each and protects the mirror paint itself, which are prone to rock chips. Carbon fiber is substantially lighter than any component on a car by the way. Hoods, trunks, fenders, etc, carbon fiber shed 10s of pounds of a car btw.
