Our story today is about a man that we could say did not have flashy clothes or a great personality. Instead, he was as plain as plain could be, really didn’t speak all the right words in the right ways. John the Baptist was his name. He came preaching repentance and turning away from sin! To follow the Kingdom of God. When Jesus come on the scene, John was taken back because he realized that he wasn’t worthy to be in Jesus’ presence. Yet Jesus asked John to baptize him in water, so that the scriptures would be fulfilled.
