The edges are always the giveaway. If the 'grain' goes round the edge, it's a wrapped print.

The camera can only pick up so much detail. Seeing them with your own eyes makes it easier to tell.

Alligator hides are used for all kind of stuff: belts, shoes, wallets, etc. You can also get fried alligator in some restaurants. There’s an industry around it, just like with cows.

@@Schizophrenic0 I bought one of these for my Seiko SSA379. I suspect its probably caiman given the price, and its sourced from the leg instead of the belly. But hey for $20 I'm not complaining.
