I am a real world Airbus pilot with thousands of hours flying the real aircraft and thought it would be fun to have a look at the new detailed simulation of the longest baby 'bus by Toliss as well as the new MSFS a320 NEO. Hopefully you find this useful and it brings another perspective to your simulation. Any thoughts or comments are welcome!

This is for the 737, i’m sure it will apply for the A320 too. I am not sure what you mean by a “ Realistic pushback “. We usually get pushed back from the stand, onto the taxiway facing the direction given by ATC or in the direction to exit the apron. When we taxi, maximum N1 on the ground is 40%. Usually set 30-35% to break away. Taxi speeds are simple, 10kts on the apron, 10kts in turns, Maximum 30kts on a dry, straight taxiway. ( Usually do 20-25 ). On a runway, maximum speed is 50kts. ( When backtracking, ect. )

Thank you so much for your continuing help with making the complex system that is the A320neo in MSFS usable! I also have a suggestion/request: I'd be very interested in your assessment of the aircraft T/O performance under hot & high conditions, as I have been really struggling with this. I would suggest to try this out in Quito, Ecuador, as MSFS offers you two airports nearby (the new airport with ~4000m runway at 7800ft, and the old airport with ~3000m runway at ~9000ft) - great for direct comparisons. I guess you'd always take off with flaps 2 or 3, but 4000m won't even suffice to reach rotating speed at TOGA... I'd just like to know if the aircraft's behavior is realistic. I'd also like to know what the thrust rating of the LEAP-1A engines in the sim is, but so far I've found no info on this. I somehow guess they're at one of the lower thrust ratings for the 320neo, which would explain part of the problems I've encountered... Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next bit of knowledge you share whatever it is - this is actually the first KZread channel I've ever felt is worth subscribing to.

For anyone wondering (like I was for a while), the final prompt you're given in the intro is to "Disarm Spoilers". As he briefly showed, the spoilers are the speed brakes located just to the left and below the parking brake lever, and need to be taken off of the "Armed" tick and set to "0" (one notch down). Maybe I'm just a doofus!

Hi there, having watched a few of your MSFS2020 (A320 NEO) videos now, I decided to have a go at starting the aircraft up from a dark and cold state and entering a flight plan into the MCDU. All went well, but I noticed in the flight plan that there doesn't appear to be any speed references for the autopilot to follow, i.e. not shown against each waypoint? I have been used to flying the Zibo 737 in XP11 and the speed profile is clearly shown in the FMC, as it is in the ToLiss A321, as seen in another of your lovely vids. Am I doing something wrong? Regards from Bedford, UK :-)

I'm playing on the current stable build and I'm still getting the same Takeoff Inhibit warning that's being displayed in this video after completing the full takeoff checklist, is this an error with the A32NX mod? Or is there another portion of the checklist I'm outright missing?

How does the real world take off differ. Barring the feel of the aircraft, based on the setting in the simulator I would imagine a real world take off would be very similar in nature. Thanks

I have a question, can you tell me why the plane is showing 1 FD - instead of 1 FD 2 in my case?

Thanks for this, very excellent detailed tutorial - much appreciated. But you (like me) are getting climb rates of about 6000ft per minute at some points using this method. Is there anything we can do to alleviate that? I've never been on an airbus that pitches up and down so wildly as this!

Hi thanks for all the videos, helped tremendously navigating and understanding autopilot. I keep encountering an issue where all my avionics go blank though after 1-2 hours flight and I have no idea why? Any ideas?

Do you have a vid on the trim settings. I'm used to flying the NGs so I'm not really sure about triming the bus or if you even have to.

Hi. Any chance you could show how to fly an arc dme approach such as the one into rwy 24 at EGPH?

Thanks for this video. Unfortunately when I try to "fly" the A320 (using the FlyByWire add in) it does NOT follow the flight plan. I'm not doing anything obviously wrong and have tried to follow your guidance and that of others. The problem is fairly consistent. Shortly after engaging autopilot the plane starts banking steeply to the left, regardless of the flight plan. I can't see any discontinuities in it. Do you have any suggestions? (PS: I used the JAR A320 in X-Plane 11 previously and didn't have any issues).

Quick question what about the fuel and weights I’m used to xplane 11 and putting all that information in where do you put that in now? Also do you have the link to where you have the video showing you where to put this information into the CDU? Thank you in advance

Great video. Thank you. Quick question, how do I stop my Airbus A320, automatically pushing back, taxing to the the runway and taking off. Thank you if you are able to assist.

Hi. I would love to know the performance figures for take off and landings. What distances are required for both and at different aircraft configurations? Done a bit of searching but not found anything so far. I fly with a couple of VA's and they have information on noise abatement departure procedures. Could you elaborate on what these are and how to use them in MSFS? Thanks

Hey man thanks for this tutorial ! Following the latest patch 1.9.5, it looks like they’ve updated the brakes not disengaging the Max auto brake prior to take-off. *I noticed this on the vanilla version* Waiting for the next fly by wire update to the mod...

what is proper technique for taking off in a strong crosswind? i find myself using rudder to stay on runway, once initiating Rotation, the plane tilts and when rudder is released jerks the plane around. How do you keep it somewhat smooth?

I understand selected speed mode uses the speed I selected. What is the managed mode? Is it needed for APPR? Is it for the plane to use the altitudes from the flight plan?

Thank you for another excellent and informative video! Question... do you ever go to TOGA or FLEX power and then release the brakes for takeoff? I think I have experienced that as a passenger on some occasions. Thanks again for your tutorials!

Thanks for watching Alvaro! No we don't do that whilst holding the brakes normally on the A320, it may happen on other aircraft types though!

I've had trouble with the latest version of the A32NX being that I find it tends to have trouble maintaining reasonable speed on a/thr. As a result, I've stopped flying it for a while hoping the devs manage to fix it soon though now I've watched this, I intend to try again and see if it was just me making mistakes

Hi mate. What airspeed should I fly at when I fly the plane? I feel like when I fly 250 knots, it feels a bit fast. Is that just me?
