You meant good global news. Since global news isn't good anymore, only unless it's about alliance. The only good global news would be a fall of either Russia, North Korea, or Iran. Since anything else global will never happen or would be unreality. Such as financially free living, a world without bombs, a world without health problems, no more national debt, no more crime, and such.

One of America's finest moments in the last century it's when I fell in love with the country growing up in a third world country Reagan was a beautiful man unafraid to speak his convictions

I was an army brat, my family lived close to the wall during a tense time. They had to do evacuation drills in case the Soviets invaded. You had to have essentials packed and ready to go at all times, not fun for a young woman with three small children. She once heard shots coming from the East Germans gunning down people trying to cross over I remember vividly my mom's face watching the crowds tear the wall down, her mouth open and looking at us to check if it was actually happening. Reagan, Thatcher and Gorbachev may have saved the planet.
watched this speech on tv as a boy when i was just old enough to remember and understand it was important. ill remember it forever
Thank you president Reagan! 🇩🇪🇺🇸

paul tanner, calm down man. This person is clearly ignorant and doesn’t listen to the facts that are absolutely true. I was watching the Democratic National Convention this week, and former Republicans always the short end of the stick. Because it doesn’t fit their agenda. Sometimes I wish we could discuss our character rather than political affiliations.

I'm so glad that new political parties could be founded. Otherwise, the Soviet Empire would not have collapsed. And even if it hadn't collapsed and the Soviet Empire would have had more constitutional rights as were majorly voted for, the other political parties would have continued to violate the new constitution since they never agreed. And the Soviet Empire was always more strict against constitution than the U.S. for example. So overall, rather than a peaceful Soviet Empire with a great constitution, the Empire would have been corruptive. Defying the constitution every day. Because Soviet Socialism and the freedom the voters voted majorly for, never would have mixed. Mixing would have been like North and South Korea reuniting and combining all of their politics.
If we transpose this to China today, what has to happen inside China?

This speech didn’t stop the Soviet Union, it was a very good speech though. What did stop the Soviet Union was the fact that Ronald Reagan spent a ton to build up the United States defenses and things of that nature and the Soviet Union could just not keep up.
