I hope you’re having a great space opera September! I’ve been wanting to read Ann Leckie’s Imperial Radch series for a while. Just started To be Taught, If Fortunate and it’s good!! Enjoy! 😃
I'm not sure if you know, but the 90s mini series Merlin with Sam Neill and Helena Bonham Carter is BASED on The Crystal Cave series. ❤❤❤

I did not know this!!!! Now that you mention it... I may have watched that miniseries when it was airing.. :P I might have to rewatch it after reading the book now that I know this! Thanks for sharing! :D
I've never read any space opera books at all but I was so interested in hearing about the readathon. Do you have recommendations for a beginning reader of space opera? I would definitely like to try something.

Yay!! Actually, Becky Chambers (the author I fangirled about in the video, haha) is a *great* author to start with. Her Wayfarers trilogy starts with A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet. It's a fabulous, character-driven space opera story. I also really love KB Wager's Indranan War series (first book: Behind the Throne). Those have more political intrigue going on along with a fabulously fierce protagonist.
