America is an idiot for kissing Ass-Pin because doing so during the Selection could get both of them killed or seriously endangered! She and Ass-Pin went from being low class Five and Six to being promoted to a Three and Two due the Selection and draft respectively. All that could be taken away if they’re caught. I actually got mad at America for doing that. I mean, Maxon wanted to find love but he also had a country with high rates of poverty, low education quality, and they weren’t precisely under the best diplomatic terms with other countries, plus they were under constant rebel attacks, all of that needed to be solved. He had to find a girl that was able to pull with all of that and still love and accept him. The country needed a better king than his father and he needed someone that would help him do better for his people. I don’t justify Maxon for playing around though 😅 I mean, the excuse for what he did withCeleste wasn’t the best But yeah, he was under a lot of pressure, he had to consider his feelings, the country needs, and what his abusive dad wanted

America being mad at maxon for being with kriss when she was with aspen the whole time makes me so angry. And that was maxon only way to find love while america had aspen as a backup plan.

IKRRR i dont understand why ppl are being mad for maxon for hanging out with other girls when America hasnt been straight up with her feelings for him. Clearly, he loves her, but he's giving HER a choice of whether she wanted him and the life that comes along with it. I felt like elite and the one werent necessarily about maxon picking from the other girls (coz after the selection he seemed pretty decided that it was Amrica all the way) but rather America making up her mind between him and Aspen while Maxon figures out which girl he would marry if America decides she doesnt love him.......

Ok so something I have to point out that I figured out when I reread the books is that when America was in the great room and all the girls were talking about what they wanted at their wedding and America said all she wanted was her dad to walk her down the aisle so she knows he fully accepts and agrees with her choice of man but then he dies before she gets married. Made me sad when I realized it but I like how Aspen walked her down the aisle like turning the other cheek or whatever

Love how America had the audacity to be jealous of everyone else and get mad at Maxon for kissing someone else while she’s literally cheating on him with aspen

A spoilor reading-vlog from A Court Of Thorns and Roses would be iconic

He doesn't want to let go of the idea of America and Him being together forever that he had before the selection, even though he was falling in love with Lucy

haven't even watched the video yet but I wanted to say that the selection is my comfort series, I LOVE MAXON edit: actually disagree with you, lmao I thought America was the hypocrite one bc she was literally kissing Aspen and got mad at Maxon for kissing the other girls... America was supposed to be devoted to Maxon bc she basically signed and America did mess up multiple times so obviously Maxon had to look for a plan B. It's a competition where Maxon had to choose between 35 girls and they all were supposed to have an opportunity, Maxon tried to give it to all of them but in the end, he always went back to America. I'll always be team Maxon! Being team aspen is like shipping Katniss and gale like wtf? anyways loved the vlog ❤

Right?!? I completely agree also I loved the two boys more than America..I mean Aspen and Lucy was so SO wholesome Am didn’t let the boy confess he doesn’t like her at the end and Maxon had to pick so ig the kissing wasn’t ’cheating’ and he literally took a bullet for her??😔🫠

This was the first YA book series I read at 13/14 🙈🙈 it rlly got me into fantasy. I genuinely still love the story and the characters idk it just reminds me of where I started 😭

This almost made me cry. I read the selection series when i was in my tweens and now, watching this as a grown ass woman, i know it's not one of the greatest but IT'S JUST-- YOU KNOW. This video brought back a lot of memories that I was motivated to read it all over again. I loved it I loved the commentary and all the emotions it brought thank you so so much 💗

AHHHH LITERALLY CLICKED SO FAST- i love this series and it holds a a special place in my heart :)

I read this series a last month, I’m like you too...was late into the game. I’m 24 and eventhough this book may be for younger audiences, I found myself loving this book and getting so attached to the characters. Really gave me an emotional rollercoaster. After I finished these 3 books I had to take like 3-4 days break from reading anything cuz I was having a Post-book blues. It’s a series that really took away my heart and soul. Took a bit of time for me to detach myself from it a little cuz my mind keeps playing out scenes of this book.

I watched till the end!! This is so cool and I love how you carried us along. Your expressions were out of this world. Lol
