Reading & Northern 425: Journey of an Autumn Steam Train Part 2 - Last Dash to Jim Thorpe

On the first Saturday of November 2022, 425 made the last full round trip from Outer Station to Jim Thorpe and back before being taken out of service for the 1472 day inspection. When 425 will be back in service remains unknown, but no doubt the Reading & Northern will take great care and pride with the upkeep.
Late season fall foliage still clings to the hillsides as we make the most of the single day chase up the R&N Mainline and back. The diesels are there to assist with dynamic breaks and extra adhesion against wheel slip from leaves on the rails.

My gosh I love these videos. Really captures the PA anthracite region. Sometimes I do miss the dialogue and train model info in corner or screen. I have a soft spot for trains, and would love to learn as much as I can.
